and for anyone that doesnt know, I have one of these but 97 with a 6a12 mivec v6 swap...the rego paper literally says 905kg with all fluids so they are insanely light. What an engineering masterpiece this car is! so good!

Sounds awesome! Is it awd too? I have an 8mr with pretty much 2 or 3 of everything in regards to driveline parts...I also have a little ce lancer coupe, been wanting to make an evo 5 or 6 coupe out of it haha
@davidgriggs39673 жыл бұрын
The 6a12 mivec engine makes good hp but a dismal amount of torque I owned one and the most NA power you can make out of them is about 220whp . Before I wound up the boost on my 4g63t Vr4 powered 200hp Cordia Turbo which is around the same weight as a mirage and I compared them , the acceleration was night and day.

Really nice built!!! As an Mitsubishi mechanic since over 20yrs this is something i've been thinking of the last 20years...! I know for fact that Mitsubishi acually did a ralliart model of the Colt with drivetrain from Evo XI. So sad that they didn't made it for the market 😭 But however now days you can get a Colt for pennies and a Outlander turbo cheap... Some Day I'am going to build one! I'am just gona end My swap with a Opel kadett c with a Mitsubishi 4g94 turbo and a Lexus is 200 6 Speed gearbox first... Someday... 😂 Cheers from Northern Sweden 🍻

how did you do the awd conversion do you have evo floor in the rear
@joydrive2 жыл бұрын
Not my car, but it's a hybrid Evo rear subframe to allow for Evo rear end pieces to bolt In. It's all about that subframe that allows them to then bolt on Evo parts directly 😎

i know this vid is a few years old but why would anyone spend so much money on Making a CJ2A into AWD version??? Especially here in Australia. Ill Explain :) Mitsubishi Made a Factory AWD Version it was the CL2A Chassis Version came stock with a twin cam 4G15. The Chassis itself is just a CJ chassis with a Evo 5/6 Floor pan in it. So you can literally take Evo Motor, Gearbox and Diff slap them in this CL2A with custom shafts to hold the power and off you go. To Boot the CL2A Was Shipped to New Zealand across the pond from us Aussie's so its very easy to Import one. So IMO to build that Red Mirage your showing its alot of money and time pissed up the wall to make something that already existed in the first place. And don't think I'm ragging on the CE Mirage I'm not I LOVE THEM i own a CJ4A Model myself, Bought it New straight off the show room floor, Ill never get rid of my little Cyborg ZR :)
