One thing i hope people really under stand about your gems spent, is that you keep 90% of the cards you get, rarely de-crafting because you will probably need those cards for later episodes of your show. So 11k gems isn't super accurate for everyone. Some people may only spend 5k or so because they will de-craft more liberally on cards that don't really interest them. also add in staples you already have and that can change the gems spent drastically. Your ojama deck was EXTREMELY expensive but most of that deck was just going 2nd staples (also not to mention the size of the deck and some of the cards not being in any packs like some of the armed dragon things).

One time while playing Synchrons I got Nibiru'd and I had Crossout but I couldn't activate it because I drew my only Nib. So I pass to my opponent (they were using Dragonmaids) and they managed to summon enough times for me to hit them with my own Nibiru. Anyways, next turn I topdeck Pot of Avarice so I reset Junk Speeder and some Tuners. I resummon it and guess what? I got Nibiru'd again. But this time they couldn't out the big ass token and I swung for game. Hallelujah

Hey, someone else finally playing Fossils! You have no idea how much this makes me so happy and you even use like 0 Koa'kis and running all 3 Adas to the max capacity. I'm gonna put in my own tips for a Fossil Deck since I've played them for a long time but I wanna know what everyone else thinks: - Having Ada Seeker at 3 is not really what I'd call ideal? I recommend dumbing it down to 2 or even 1 if I'm being honest cause opening with Seeker and no other Ada means you're wasting your Normal Summon on Seeker, that gets stopped by 3 hand traps if that's all you're going to play. It's better to just Normal Summon Tackle Crusader then special Researcher that way even if Researcher gets negated, you have access to a Synchro or a Halq line. - In the eventuality MD is being nice and ends up banning Block Dragon, there's only 1 thing that happens: you completely take out Shell Knight since, as you said, Shell Knight is basically a Block Dragon searcher and if there is no Block Dragon, your only other options are two Priminerals, a Triamid card, and a Rock that allows you to make 1 monster you control attack directly all of which give you some minor results compared to searching BD. - Dogu Dogu is a good extender since you can banish an Ada to further Link or Synchro into something else though his level of 2 does it make awkward. - Naturia Beast can be made easily in this deck which gives you a not once per turn, not once per chain, spell negate. - If you have moments where there is no good target for your Fossil Fusions in your opponent's GY and you don't want to use 2 of your monsters for the material, you can do the Time Stream combo. Essentially, you'd have to run 2-3 Time Streams and then, you make Fossil Bone with your Fossil Fusion then if you have Time Stream, use Time Stream on Fossil Bone to go into either of the level 6. From there, you banish Fossil Bone to add another copy of Time Stream then use it to take the level 6 and bring out the level 8 (I recommend Skullgeos for an OTK and/or Skull King to have an interrupt and his effects are not tied to being Fusion Summoned if he gets brought back after being destroyed/banished) - Speaking of, this deck can run any of the Nemeses but of course, you would want to run Nemeses Keystone. It's a rock, it brings back a resource like a banished Fossil Fusion monster and then when it itself gets banished, it adds itself back to your hand. This is important specifically if you have Skull King cause he needs a discard to steal monsters. And that's it. The Adamancipator engine is the Fossil's best friend at least for now cause I personally feel there's a better engine for them in the near future and I am excited for it.

I will say, Gaia Plate can be a goofy one to grab with Shell Knight to occasionally effectively steal wins, but yeah that's the only other marginally good thing I've seen to grab with Shell Knight.

i have used a adamancipator deck with fossils for a while and its great fun especially the trex if he was summoned with a opponents card that makes it into a 3,5k beater that is hard to destroy and if you have the adamancipator field spell out it can oneshot someone with 4k double damage after swapping their stats

In the OCG, Rhongo and Maxx C are at 3, Vanity's went from 1 to 0 literally yesterday, and VFD got banned right before BODE came out, which is more or less where Master Duel is right now. The problem isn't that Konami isn't doesn't care or isn't trying with the banlist, it's that Konami generally seems to care a lot more about the OCG, and Mater Duel reflects that.

It kinda highlights how Konami OCG doesn't really care. I'm convinced they use Maxx C being legal as an excuse to not have to ban broken combo payoffs like Rhongo, VFD, Union Carrier to equip Buster Sword, Eva supplying Heralds with more negates than anything but a perfect hand can handle, etc. Because instead of balancing their format they hope that Maxx C balances it for them instead.

@@Whostolemymusic I believe (and I could absolutely be wrong about this so don’t shoot the messenger), that the OCG and TCG have different meta playstyles in any case, which is partially reflected in the differences in the banlists (alongside other things such as some minor differences in rulings and OCG getting cars first). I think they’re still trying to figure out how to deal with Master Duel’s banlist as a whole, and we’re still stuck in the rocky early stages. That’s just my option based on how Master Duel started it with basically an OCG banlist on launch.

Problem is masterduel is a best of 1, not best of 3. That makes masterduel very different from tcg and ocg and thus should have a much harsher banlist than either. Konami knows this very well but doesn't do anything to address the huge problem so I honestly think they don't care. They know nobody takes a stand to their bullshit so they will just keep doing it.

Since fossil is such an small archetype you have to play them as a secondary engine to another deck, which I believe adamancipator was the best choice since adamancipator is the best engine for any rock deck. So happy to see you going for blind second builds, the advantage you get in master duel by being prepared to go second is insane. Nice deckbuilding, nice playing, and very good video all around. I believe you just made a new video that’ll always watch to sleep when I’m drunk.

This deck is so much fun to play. You got plenty of starter with very wide range utility in extra deck with adamancipator, nasty disruption and recursion with kaijus, block dragon and fossil fusion. And its plenty resilient with negates for a rogue deck.

a deck I mixed with Fossils on Duel Links and got it to work surprisingly well was magnets, you can get quick material ok the GY with their effects, they have a field spell that enables bounces, and their boss monster is a level 8, which enables a lot of things

You might've been able to get around the need for your opponent to "Play" Big monster by running true king Lithosagym in your deck since your monsters like getting sent to the graveyard, are typically earth monsters, and require high monsters in their graveyard. Lithosagym would be able to send monsters from your opponent's extra deck to the grave to help sent up their graveyard. Although I'm sure it might make it a bit bricky but it might be worth play testing. Edit: I just looked it up and Lithosagym banishes the monsters. But I'm sure there are cards that do something the similar I'm sure.

I was actually playing fossil for a bit last month iirc it took 5 days to hit diamond 1 altho I was playing a much much less pure version cutting a lot of the traditional blind second stuff for a small tenyi package to break boards and help facilitate halqdon making a turn1 board of colossus+savage+denglong+ any extender makes baronne+arc light

This is a spectacularly fun deck to play. My build was comprised of using Chronomallies to fill the monster spaces and I actually ended up using a Dogmatika engine to go alongside the fossil stuff. It's a slightly counter intuitive way of playing, as you lock yourself out of playing your extra deck, but this archetype can really get alot of use out of deck-dumping with Maximus and Punishment and the like. Stacking the deck with cards like Wind Pegasus @Ignister, Elder Entity N'tss and Psy-Frame Omega alongside the deck's own dump-targets can give you alot of pops, advantage and recovery. Even at their worst, Fleurdelis, Maximus and Ecclesia are extra bodies that can help you beat down or defend. Another set of cards I value in this deck are Nemeses. Specifically, Nemeses Keystone. That card can legitimately pull alot of weight in the deck. It recovers both your extra deck monsters as well as targets banished off Block Dragon.

I had to quit master duel as a f2p player months ago because of the grind required to have a fun variety of decks, this series really helps me put into perspective how much I'd be spending

You can make a variety of decks. You just need to make one unfair deck to farm dailies or climb ladder, have had decent or cheap decks for each event to farm most missions, and also to have luck in not getting destroyed by the most unfair decks available while going through ladder/events in repeated succession, which will happen more often the higher you go. Y'know, good ol' Yu-Gi-Oh fun. But unironically you can make decent decks for cheap, it just turns into a matter of time spent, and luck, for gem farming for what you want/need. So typical gacha.

I'm only an hour in ("only an hour in", this is a 2.5-hour long video, Christ Hardleg you're doing fantastic work) so I'm not sure if you ended up using this, but I just wanna say that something I love doing with Fossil Adamancipator is using Naturia Beast, since it can be made with your level 2 tuners and a Flint Cragger. It'll set up spell negates while filling your GY with each negate, and dump a Fossil from the ED for the next turn. This is one of my favorite decks and it's awesome to see such a long video with it!

Chaos ruler is kind of awkward in ada You can't access the revival eff and random mills can kind of conflict with the excavates On top of that we really don't have that many great mills outside of guitar, block, and golem + the fact we can't play the assault engine hurts rulers playability

Looking at the first variation, I reccomend having a needlebug nest (send the top 5 cards frkm your deck to your gy) and also having burial from a different dimension (choose 3 monsters that are banished to the GY) meaning you can use the opponents monster to fusion summon twice. You can get rid of one of the nibirus and replace it with Maxx c or ash blossom / any one of the extremely common broken handtraps / spells

Jeez, Hardleg got really lucky at 31:50 that the dragon maid player either didn’t have Lorpar in their hand or misplayed, because at the start of the battle phase they can tag out the human form on the field with the dragon in their hand and activate House’s effect that when a dragon maid returns to the hand, destroy a card (99% fossil reducing attack would be the target). Don’t think his other monsters would have been able to keep up if the attack reduction left either.

The stream made me want to build a Fossil deck of my own. I'm using Forbidden Droplet. It dumps Rocks into the GY. Still gotta use the Adamancipator Engine. If there was an alternative Rock Engine, I'd use it, but Fossils are fun. And I just really like going second decks. I beat Sky Striker with Superheavy Samurai.

I did however play my Magician Girl Fusion deck a week or so ago and I somehow won eight games with it! Either people don't know how the Magician Girls work or they simply refuse to read card effects... I had one game where the opponent impermed and ashed my Chocolate Magician Girl in the same turn (apparently they don't know what cost is) and then I had a game where they tried four different destruction effects to get rid of Quintet Magician, lol. Also had a few people scoop when I played Secret Village too.

Yeah me too, they need to make a proper banlist for best of 1 format, shit like vfd, protos, IO, emptiness, rhongo is very annoying and should be ban, also MD just very slow on card update.

Yeah it's crazy, 90% of all copies of master duel actually remove all the text from the cards. At least, that's the only explanation I have.

That duel up to 1:50:00, you could might have avoided Nibiru if you had gone into the Dragon immediately instead of Skull King. Really, that duel does a good job of showing which of the two does more damage.

Man, Fossils are cool nowadays, with all the recovery (esp. of the Fusion spell) but there's some older version in the Tag Force Games (before 2010) that's harder to use: that Fossil Fusion _requires_ you to use both graveyards and has no extra effects, so the idea is basically to splash this into any kind of Rock deck, but Block Dragon isn't there yet, nor are Adamancipators, so what can Rocks even do aside from Defence Wall Battle Damage and Sphinx control?
