I HAVE to say this: I am SO GRATEFUL about the last patch! The priority change of the Interceptors are an absolute blessing. I am about the same MMR as the "complainer". In the past I would loose at least 90% of my ZvP lategames in case they decided to go mass Carriers. Now I am winning most of those games. And when I loose I made some obvious mistakes. Corruptors are absolute Carrier-Killers! And since you don't need to clump them anymore, Archons and Storms are by far not as big of a threat nowadays. I cannot believe that people STILL go Hydras vs Carriers. Especially if you have the Spire already.

Yeah that helped a lot! To be honest me and I believe some zerg players see the hydras as zerg marines and want to use them as general purpose units, but unfortunately they are little less than baby lurkers. And so goes the saying "getting stuck into hydras"

He lacked gas for Corruptors. Typically you don't have much gas early on as a Zerg, which makes it harder to transition, he also wasted the little he had on muta.

I am zerg and I hate playing against a cannon rush, but I hate bm even more. I will thank every cannon rusher for the next 5 days for doing their bit against heat. Also people should stop whining cannon rushing is a legit way to play the game. If you lose to it get better and don't lose to it. If you can't get better it's probably cuz you're still whining.

I'm genuinely in disbelief that this is a diamond level game. This was attrocious lmfao. Really, the game isn't too hard to get better at. You only have yourself to improve, so you don't need to worry about anything but yourself. If you think you're garbage, all I can really say is practice a build and make sure you're constantly making units and scouting. It may even be the race you're playing isn't for you. I started with terran in 2012 got to gold and kept falling back to silver until I swapped to protoss and shot to platinum in 2013. It doesn't take too much, just build stuff constantly and watch your own replays.

@@DevilWearsAdidas I'm a Diamond player, former Masters, and I still think I'm so bad at this game. Which is what makes SC2 so interesting and rewarding - the skill cap is practically infinite. As soon as you start blaming the game for your losses, you fail to make progress. I don't think I'm more mechanically gifted than a Gold league player typically, my APM isn't even that high (like 120-140 avg), but I think about every game I play - why did I lose, why did I win, what could I have done differently, etc. Watching replays helps a lot too. Often you can see a moment in the game where you had a good chance to win, but you blew it or just sat back and let it pass.

There's something interesting that you mention every now and then. Around 13:25 you mentioned him making that move "without a goal". I don't play SC2 anymore but I remember as a diamond player I'd play the game and just do things (unless I was following some sort of timing attack build). I think most people do this. Even outside of starcraft. Chess, jiujitsu, whatever it is, people just kind of do things without a foundation of Intent and foresight most of the time. Myself included (unless it's something I'm good at, but even then)

I think that's kind of his point though. At diamond, you might be able to do well without having a specific goal or intent. But in order to progress, you need learn that foresight from previous games. Just like getting better at chess, jiujitsu, etc

I dont understand why he didnt scout with the worker (i do it every single time, every single matchup) and always see the forge and kill probes with my drones/defend with more drones cause I always expect the cannon rush after forge. Also, he didnt cancel the hatch which (imo) could cancel, then he didnt cancel the 2nd hatch when it was attacked by the zealot like what did he expect. And im also diamond, but 900 mmr lower. I mean, didn't cancel the 2nd hatchery... built the 3rd in a vulnerable spot that got killed instantly... put themselves so far behind from the beginning. 5 minutes in and 1 base and no harassment himself... and then sends a queen on their own across the map with no creep to just get killed? Protoss player might have wanted 2 or 3 Tempests to pick off Hydras after they had the 4 carriers on the map already too. To say someone has no skill who completely destroyed you is... sad. LOL

1:57 3-5 years ago I use to play sc2 a lot and when I intended to cheese, I would talk to my opponent and have a convo while cheesing them. It helped distract them and they made more errors replying to me.

I did ruin some terran's day today, yeah. Not really, though, for he gg'd before leaving and wasn't trying "'til the end gaming". I saw him once and played macro against him, I failed to win, so, next time, I decided to not try and beat him in macro the next game, where I got him again(I noticed, that he played too well for me to be of my level) and cannon rushed him. He was a bit overly confident with attempt to expand to his nat while seeing that he's being cr'd. I kinda had my revenge on him, so, I'm fine.

As a P player, pure carriers don't usually beat pure hydra. As sad as it is. Of course, if your opponent has the same number of hydras as you have carriers the situation is different.

Literally produced just as many unit types as him and he claims mass carrier was why he lost. Guy made a few roaches and mass hydra but instead of focusing carriers he attack moved the interceptors. Is that all it takes to get to diamond?
