you guys should look into how the Quran states that Allah ordained the land of Israel for Moses and his descendants Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:21 "My people! Enter the holy land which Allah has ordained for you; and do not turn back for then you will turn about losers." I mean this would be Palestinian Arabs Holy Book saying that Moses and his people the Israelites were given the land by Allah. Thats kinda .... a checkmate.... is it not?

At 10:24 oh what a horrific thought you had provoked like Arafat had already had been mourning like there's no tomorrow for any peace for Palestinians which showed how far he was ready to Tom down but thankfully that guy should be celebrated as the most thankful guy in the history of mankind as he took the responsibility of ensuring there no state of Palestinians that should ever exist on the face of earth. He should be celebrated as the greatest hero of Zionism and ISRAEL and should be awarded Nobel peace price and followed by every possible prize in regards for his respect because it's was the duty of those terrorists (who had been giving Jews a refuge from Europe for centuries to kill that baskerd PRIME MINISTER as that is their only duty and reason to exist) to do the job so that that could have be a possible reason to kill and annihilate those peaky Palestinians and their state of Palestine.

Not to mention 300 homes that were demolished. You see, the reason the Palestinians fight is because they are having their HOMES taken from them and are being sheperded into CONSENTRATION CAMPS.

@@davideldred.campingwilder6481 In the main, Arabs only began calling themselves "Palestinians" in the 1960s for political expediency. United Nation General Assembly Resolution 181 (Partition Resolution) of 1947 never refers to the Arabs as "Palestinians," but simply as "Arabs." The first time an international body calls the Arabs "Palestinians" is 1972 with UNGA Resolution 2949 (December 8, 1972). Before 1972, the United Nations referred to the Arabs as "inhabitants," "the population," or "the Arab civilian population." Not once did it use the term "Palestinians."Are the Arabs now calling themselves "Palestinians" the ancient Philistines? 1 - The Arabs who are now calling themselves "Palestinians" are Semites; the ancient Philistines were not. 2 - The Arabs who are now calling themselves "Palestinians" practice circumcision; the ancient Philistines did not. 3 - The Arabs who are now calling themselves "Palestinians" are monotheistic; the ancient Philistines were polytheistic, whose chief deity was Dagon. 4 - The Arabs who are now calling themselves "Palestinians" speak Arabic: the ancient Philistines' language is still being deciphered. NO, THE ARABS NOW CALLING THEMSELVES "PALESTINIANS" ARE NOT THE ANCIENT PHILISTINES, WHO INVADED THE LAND IN THE 2ND HALF OF THE 12TH CENTURY BCE.During the mandate period (1922-1948), the British called all the inhabitants of the land "Palestinians," which is why some prominent Arabs tried to disassociate themselves from the name: Lebanese American Princeton professor, Philip Hitti (1886-1978), who testified before the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry in Jerusalem in 1946 stated that, "There is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not." Of course, what Hitti meant was that there was no Palestine in Arab history, in which he is correct. Hitti was opposed to even using the word Palestine in maps because it was "associated in the mind of the average American, and perhaps the Englishman too, with the Jews." "There is no such country! 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. 'Palestine' is alien to us; it is the Zionists who introduced it." -- Awni Bey Abdul-Hadi, Secretary of the Arab Higher Committee, before the Peel Commission in 1937. The argus-eyed reader will be quick to note that Arab representation during the mandate period was named the "Arab Higher Committe" and not the "Palestinian Higher Committee."

My family lived in Jerusalem from the end of the 18th century until the beginning of the 20th century. The Ottomans were in charge then. My great grandparents had a compound on Ben Gurian ave and in those days there were plenty of Palestinians and other indigenous groups. The Bedouins & other nomadic tribes rented rooms in great grandmas house and kept their animals in the center courtyard. Everyone spoke arabic and Yiddish and the kids all played together. My grandparents got along with all the others. We kept the compound when we left for the US, but were forced to sell for much less than the place was worth in the 1970's. Israel wanted to build a shopping center, high end there.

Looking at the conflict linearly, chronologically, is a mistake. It seems tempting, but it always starts with the premise that we got to where we are today based on all the prior things-and that isn’t quite true. Depending on when you start counting, most of the people pictured in this video are dead. Sworn enemies? Not really…just born in different places to different peoples. Peace has never been a goal with a vision in sight, it has been a concept, a moving target, and I think that is the hardest things for foreigners/especially Americans, to grasp. Sometimes there is not a solution-and this creates real scenarios that require super human powers to achieve. For example, the land is so small, that even if Israel unilaterally decided to withdraw from the entire West Bank, it couldn’t physically do it-the airspace requires Israeli commercial plans to fly over the West Bank just to make a turn around descent into Tel Aviv, and there is no way to defend the country when it is only a few miles wide. Also, where are the Palestinians supposed to do international trade from? Israel wouldn’t allow constant transit of freight across its borders, nor Palestinian airlines to fly over (if you build an airport) the state for a long long time due to security concerns…so you are talking about across the empty valleys and mountains of Jordan to move products to Europe and Asia? Because Jordan has been soo friendly to the Palestinians and makes so many products itself… I am just saying that the complexities are so vast, and come from sources that have nothing to do with the peoples themselves (h/t to the British who created a silly arrangement that made both proposals for the state and Jerusalem just plain nutty). So until a lot of the practical questions have answers, the aspirational goals have to take a back seat. We can be inspired by them, but let’s not be discouraged by their shortcomings either. If people really really wanted to “solve the conflict,” then yeah it would take hundreds of billions of investment to make everyone happy. That is possible but a level of real Politik no one is quite willing to gamble on the Palestinians and the Israelis are not willing to spend/don’t have the political support/time between governments to commit to. The best hope is that the Abraham Accord states exert not just pressure, but economic incentives that create more opportunities for collaboration between Israelis and Palestinians-then, there exist possibilities for small parts of the puzzle to be solved. It won’t be solved at once, accept that, but celebrate the little wins. For example, social media and the World Cup allowed for youth interaction and flights directly to Qatar. This created a lot of tension, but it proved that we share the same world. It also showed that Palestinians can safely use Israels airport-diffusing a lot of tension on the Israeli side. So hey some trust in bits despite the violence can go far in quality of life.

@davidw9751
@davidw9751 2 жыл бұрын
@@yosefyonin6824 That is why in a lot of cases agreements are useless as actual peace comes from the population. The Israeli population is indeed mostly ready for peace, the Palestinian population not so much. As they're governed by radical organisations like Fatah, Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, they believe peace will come on their terms once they genocided the Jewish population. The reason why they're so successful in spreading this idea is because of lack of education (the general population there doesn't know a lot about Jews besides what is wrongly told on the news or taught in schools) and poverty (as a result of their governments' corruption), since they are promised financial support if they go on a Jihad.
@jasondanielfair2193
@jasondanielfair2193 Жыл бұрын
@@davidw9751 the lack of education about Israel and Judaism and Jewish history in not just Palestinian, but many Arab/Muslim countries as well has created a very different picture of reality for their populations. This is by design-not because there is something inherently hostile between Jews and Muslims, but because many leaders of those countries need a scapegoat problem/country to blame problems on and distract from their policies. Iran does this masterfully. China does a very similar thing with its antagonism of Taiwan (don’t expect an invasion anytime soon folks, that is China’s way to making their claim continually relevant internally and internationally, but they have no incentive to actually invade, their leadership needs the false narrative that Taiwan is rebellious and evil etc. to rally the public around the regime. So back to the Israeli and Palestinian issues…the picture painted in Palestinian schools (many but not perhaps all) is so extreme that you would could hardly not think Israel was the devil if you grew up learning things that literally said Israel is the devil, especially if you do not understand why there are bombs going off overhead every now and then and planes from a foreign source you have never seen in real life. Social media is a blessing and a curse here too, on one hand, things like Tik Tok actually expose Palestinians to Israeli culture and regular people because it is geo-targeted and we are a handful of km away. Same with the opposite. But social media also rapidly spreads lies and disinformation. The UAE or Bahrain, I cannot remember exactly which, just announced they will start teaching about the Holocaust in schools. Imagine a whole country not knowing a crucial part of the history of a country that is supposedly a key adversary…well, that is most of the Arab world. And the ones who do know, are fed the lie that Israel was “given” to the Israelis/Jews as some form of reparations for the Holocaust, effectively erasing Jewish presence and history in the land. BUT I wanted to also say that the education problem swings both ways, particularly among the growing Ultra Orthodox community in Israel. The far right is increasingly diminishing secular education in the community and thus substituting actual history with a form of biblical Zionism that is just not a thing, and which paints the Palestinians in that same “classic enemy” motif, like Amalek or some force entirely bent on our destruction. And while yeah many parts of Palestinian are against Israel’s existence, they aren’t going anywhere and pretending otherwise, without knowing how to engage because you know nothing of their history, keeps us locked in perpetual purgatory. The situation is just that right now with the newly sworn in hard-right government full of reality deniers and bigots. Education is the only way to slow this descent.

The Jewish people are *indigenous* to Judea - Land of Israel. 🕎🙌 After over 2 millennia of forced exile, persecution, and genocide, the *(re)establishment* of *Jewish sovereignty* in our *ancestral homeland* is a remarkable story of *national liberation.* Jewish claims to the land are far more than biblical accounts. Our *religion, language, culture, holidays, rituals, liturgy, history,* and even the words Jew and Jewish are all inseparable from *historical Judea* and our collective longing to *return to the Land of Israel.* The land of Israel is where Jews became *a people* and the *oldest monotheistic faith.* It is where Jews *achieved sovereignty* before losing it and regaining it several times until much of the *indigenous Jewish population* was either killed or forced into exile following the *Roman Empire’s* brutal suppression of the heroic *Jewish revolt* in the second century of the Common Era. Though the Romans subsequently *renamed the land* Syria Palaestina, the Jewish people *never left* our homeland physically or spiritually. *Archaeological evidence* of Jewish life can be found in more than *30,000 sites* in Israel with antiquities dating back centuries. Even when we were massacred and persecuted by Christian Crusaders, Arab and Ottoman *invaders,* the British-led Jordanian Arab Legion, or more recently Hamas suicide bombers and rockets, our attachment *never* wavered. It is in this same land where Jews miraculously *revitalized* the Hebrew language, *rebuilt* the institutions necessary for independence, *re-engaged* in rituals that are uniquely observed in the land of Israel, *redeveloped* the land and the economy so that by several magnitudes the Jewish and non-Jewish populations grew, and offered refuge not just to the remnant which survived the Holocaust, but also millions of Jews fleeing persecution from the Muslim Middle East, Ethiopia, and the former Soviet Union. Today, Israel is a *rich tapestry of diverse citizens,* including over half of Jewish Israelis who identify as Jews of color and 20% of whom are Arab citizens. *Peace Not Hate!* 🇮🇱💙

The Palestinians are the newest of all the peoples on earth, and came into being in one day by a kind of supernatural phenomenon that is unique in all of human history. There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, or Palestinian culture, or Palestinian language, or Palestinian history. There has never been a Palestinian state, nor will there be a Palestinian state. There is no Palestinian archaeological find nor a coin. Today's "Palestinians" are an Arab people, with Arab culture, Arabic language and Arab history. They have their own Arab countries from where they arrived in Israel about a hundred years ago to differentiate Jewish immigration, this is the historical truth

@@MartinMartinm This right was recognized by the League of Nations, as the branch of the international community, in its unanimous vote in favor of the text of the British mandate on AI. On 7/24/1922, all 51 members of the League of Nations voted without abstentions and without dissenters on the wording that states: "Recognition is hereby given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine, and thanks to it the re-establishment of its national home in this land", thus establishing this right in international law . Article 80 Chapter 12 of the Charter of the United Nations (1945), is part of the chapter dealing with international trust systems (International Trusteeship System) and excludes the trust agreements detailed in Articles 77, 79 and 81 of that chapter. Edmund Levy's 2012 report refers to this section as stating the "principle of recognizing the continued validity of existing rights of states and peoples acquired by virtue of the various mandates, including the same rights of the Jews by virtue of the documents detailed above (the Balfour Declaration and the mandate letter) to settle in the territories of the Land of Israel " and in the references of other international jurists in a similar spirit. A school of experts in international law sees Article 80, which attacks the decisions of the San Remo Conference (1920) of the League of Nations, as legitimizing, in terms of the law of nations, the establishment of the State of Israel and not necessarily Resolution 181, which did not come to fruition, and therefore expired and did not gain traction in international law. Similarly, the Jordanian annexation of Judea and Samaria in 1950 was not recognized by the countries of the world, and therefore it also expired, and therefore the Balfour Declaration of 1917, which recognized the territories of Judea and Samaria as a Jewish state, is still in force. There are jurists who see the provisions of the Mandate Letter as a justification in terms of international law for the application of Israeli sovereignty over the territories of Judea and Samaria and the Gaza Strip, and this is because the Mandate Letter recognized the rights of the Jews in the Land of Israel from the Jordan to the Sea, and was supposed to facilitate the naturalization of Jews in the Land, but as for the Arabs, it is not about their national rights but only on their civil and religious rights

Lebanese American Princeton professor, Philip Hitti (1886-1978), who testified before the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry in Jerusalem in 1946 stated that, "There is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not." Of course, what Hitti meant was that there was no Palestine in Arab history, in which he is correct. The argus-eyed reader will be quick to note that Arab representation during the mandate period was the "Arab Higher Committe" and not the "Palestinian Higher Committee."
@joshualittle877

Partially correct. The Palistinians of Gaza and West Bank were those that became stuck there when Israel captured the territory in 1967. During the British Mandate everyone who was born in the region were called Palistinians reguardles of what their religion or ethnicity Jews, Muslims, Christians, Kurds, Circasians, Arabs were all called Palistinians. It was not until the 1950s that the Muslim Arabs of those two regions began to take on this new Palistinian identity for themselves. There is actually some reasoning to their assertions though I have seen no proof they are true yet. Yes there was never an independent Arab Muslim country called Palistine such a country never existed. We do however have to consider that when the Rasidun, Amayyed Caliphs conquered from Israel and the Levant all the way to Morracco along the Mediterranean coast of North Africa they did so very differently than they did when invading Persia. In Persia only the religion changed. The language and culture stayed the sane. The Levant and North Africa were on the other hand changed completely. They became Arabized. Today we tend to think of the Northern most African countries as Arab to the point some like Libya and Egypt are often erroneously labeled as Middle Eastern when they are nothing of the sort. All of those countries have Arabic speaking people with Arab customs and Arab appearance. When Spain fought to re-conquer the Iberian Peninsula and parts of North Africa they fought an Arab like people today erroneously called the Moors. The term Moore comes from a latonized pronunciation of the Arabic Magreb( simply means West) or what became known as Morracco. The Spanish called them Moriscos and the English Moors. They were in fact Berbers the same people that inhabited all of North Africa before Arabs or Europeans. These Berbers were both converted to Islam and their native culture replaced with that of Arabs. This is where the name Barabary Coast and Barbary Pirates came from. The Mamaluke Sultan that controlled these Berber Pirats was one of the first countries the US had to fight at the very same time we fought the British during our Revoltion. So what does this have to do with the Palistinians? Simple the Palestinians are attempting to assert that they are actually desended from both the Arabs and these original people who lived in the region before Arabs got there and they think this somehow gives them more claim to the land. The reality however is that this conflict is not and never was over land at all. If the Palistinian Arabs of Gaza and West Bank layed down their arms and requested, in exchange for peace and recognizing Israel's right to exist they could have posession of Gaza and West Bank as Independent Arab states with their own sovereignty and autonomy they would have had it years ago. The problem is none of this is about land or who stole what from whom. Jews didn't steal anything from them. They lived next door to Jews under the 3 Arab Caliphates for eight hundred years and under the Ottomans for another four hundred years but now all of the sudden living in peace is a problem? It's because in all that time Jews were considered second class citizens they were in many ways subservient to their Arab neighbors as well as the Ottomans. What the Palistinians cannot accept is living with Jews that they must respect as equal partners. They want to murder us, all of us and anything that doesn't end in our murders and their possession of the entire country of Israel is unacceptable to them. Arab Muslims control every country in the Middle East and North Africa but having this one blemish on what they see as a perfect picture even though it's smaller than New Jersey is just unacceptable. Israel has 2.2 million Muslim Arab Israelis who have all the same rights and privlages as any other Israeli. They even hold at least 20 seats in Knesit, Israel's Parliment so the idea that Israel is just persecuting Arabs for being Arabs or that it's any kind of Aparthied state is just rediculas.

I think Isreal needs to make amends with Palestein for the genocide they commited against them after world war II. Todays Israeli's should Apologize on behalf of their ancestors and maybe compensate the decendents of the families that negatively impacted. Atleast by making the effort to say 'Hey we're sorry for the damage our ancestors caused' would like to move forward and build a new nation with you. And Maybe Jewish men should take on Arab brides and Arab men take on Jewish brides. I'm just saying learn to love again.

7:08 I was just thinking how reasonable and balanced this was, until you mention a sudden wave of suicide bombings without mentioning Baruch Goldstein. Wikipedia (Hamas): "Hamas first began suicide attacks specifically targeting civilians in response to the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre carried out by the American-Israeli settler Baruch Goldstein, who... during Ramadan, killed 29 unarmed civilians... There was a strong sense that the Israeli military was complicit in the massacre because.. the nearby IDF forces failed to intervene to stop the attack, and indeed an additional 19 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the riots that ensued in protest of the massacre. "Hamas announced that if Israel did not discriminate between "fighters and civilians", then it would be "forced ... to treat the Zionists in the same manner. Treating like with like is a universal principle." Prior to the Hebron massacre, Hamas did not deliberately attack civilian targets. But following the massacre, it felt that it no longer had to distinguish between military and civilian targets." You also omitted Netanyahu's role. Rabin's widow blamed him directly for her husband's assassination. Not a bad video at all, and thank you. A good attempt at balance, but missing those details IMHO.

𝗜𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵? Peace between Israel and any other nation depends on the Jewish people being at peace with each other. In the past, Israeli Jews were once united in times of war. Today, even war fails to unite us. There is no need for us to fight anyone. We will finish ourselves off with our own hands. Until we understand that everything depends on uniting above our divisions and discovering a common love, we will have no peace and calm with our neighbors. How does it work? It works because we are a special nation that was established not on biological ties, but on achieving the idea of “love your friend as yourself,” and it is that example of unity that will let us function as a healthy organ in the world. If we achieve such love for each other, then Palestinians will have no drive to fight us, and in general, the hatred against us will subside. If we wish to be at peace with Palestinians and the entire world, we first need to be at peace with each other.

Despite this, we remain hopeful and maintain faith that one day, Palestine will be free from the river to the sea.. "The world started to pay attention to apartheid South Africa in the late 1970s, this was mainly when the USA-UK started to turn against the white regime. Now I’m beginning to see that the attention of the world will also shift to isolating Israel only when USA-UK turn against it. This is the precise problem with the continuing colonial order of the world - where something must happen for as long as these nations prefer. In a fair normal world, the isolation and defeat of apartheid Israel should have been achieved as soon as the progressive nation states began to identify it - whether they come from the North or South. Let’s continue fighting for the freedom of the Palestinian people, let’s not give airtime to guys like these in the name of polite society. There should be nothing to debate about settler colonialism and the dehumanization of people in their own land. We must fight against this bullshit man." author, Pedro Mzilieni

@@howlandcrowe9807 One million? all the jews that lived back then in the arab world were one million, and 850k of them migrated to the "promised holy land", so how did we exactly cleanse one million?

@@cybermage3021, ooh, a 150,000 difference. Whatever. I rounded up. And they didn't "migrate" to Israel. They were FORCED to leave. A great irony is that many Mizrahi Jews were actually anti-Zionist. Iraqi Jews held rallies proclaiming their loyalty to Iraq in the 1930s, for example. That changed after their Arab neighbors turned on them in 1941, massacring them and lynching them.

And since that is exactly what the Arabs have done, what is your point? This is Jewish land, invaded, ethnically cleansed of the native people, and occupied by the Arabs.
