I live in Lares for almost 4yrs I remember that Haydan was new in PR living in a rental home finding land to buid his home. I never visit him im sad for that I hope one day meet him Ovi ✌🇵🇷

hope you dont mind me adding my 2 cents Gina, the big box stores and the malls with plenty of parking and huge selections have taken away most of the business of the small town stores with very little parking . a trend that has been happening every where in the small plaza's in the pueblo.

Gina, in the old days all the stores used to be close to the center of every town. Not so much anymore. The malls along the highways have taken over and those are packed. In a way, all the businesses are spread all over town now and not just around the plaza. That's a good thing.

Watched him over the years inspiring by example to people of all ages - I'm 73 I thought I'd see the day when the finca would be in full production, his brother & family living by, and finding a steady girlfriend. Hayden is a good, hard-working, well liked young man who only wanted the best for everyone... sigh. Puerto Rico needs more folks like him.

Lares is a great town. I did not convince Hayden to eat meat. He did that on his own about two months ago. I only took him to eat lechón for the first time. Go to his channel and tell him you saw him eat lechón with Ovi. Lol

I love Lares! We’re in San Sebastián and have only been there once in the past year. Didn’t find lechon but tried cilantro and acerola ice cream in the plaza. Best on the island!

The plants grow so healthy there in Puerto Rico. The lechon made my mouth water , when Hayden was getting his piece to try. I love the gandules also. I have some plants and sometimes I eat the gandules straight out of the plant . Will just a few.👍

Ovi, I read the comments to you from the other subscribers, and I read your response to Awilda Nieves. When I read her name I almost dropped my phone. My long lost sister in law is Awilda Nieves. I haven't been able to reach her since my dad past away about 11 years ago. We were all in Florida. She lives in Puerto Rico (probably San Juan area). Would you please write her and ask her if she is in her early 70s and if she was married to José (Joe) Miranda (They divorced about 45 years ago). How many Awilda Nieves' can there be? Also, I am planning a trip to P.R. in January. I don't want my husband or I driving, especially at night, in unfamiliar territory. I thought to pay a driver for part of each day to show us around certain parts of the island. Also, what's happening there in January? Where are good places to visit in January? Any fiestas or anything?

I don't know how to start my comment but I don't know why a person would want to stop being as healthy as he could be , is it that he feels like he don't fit in with any of the locals and he worries about not being excepted .
