Today's episode is Mr. Kayinsade Ademusan who is a Nigerian entrepreneur building Nigeria's first Shipping Container Homes in Lagos. This has existed in Nigeria for decades but probably not commonly used as houses. My dad's company had containers furnished just like this for staff as offices in Jos, Plateau state in an empty land beside the main office building in the early 90's.

yes, I was just asking, in my comment, if *tiny-homes-on-wheels* have become popular in Nigeria yet..I'm obsessed with them as well, LoL!!😄 and some of the stationary ones are lovely, too, of course - and are often not even very different..but I like the idea of being able to easily move to a new plot of land with one..and to be able to easily travel with one, at will, *without* having to hire a special trucking service to do it.👍 waving hello!🙋🏾‍♀️ from the West Coast, USA.🌷🌈🎼🌻☮

Well he went to school in Ghana, compare him to an average Nigerian graduate, the ones that I met are virtually unemployable and totally inarticulate. In 2014 the United Kingdom stopped recognising Nigerian degrees and EU also followed suit. Education is the best gift to any child, good quality education lays the foundation for the rest of your life. Poor quality education even at university level is similar to no education as per illiterate.

@Willie Fungo I have to disagree with you, unless high end buildings with lots of outside space, which would drive costs up, these buildings can create isolation, are fire hazards and in time become slums. Taller thinner houses may work - which is what was done in Amsterdam

@Willie Fungo you speak of high rise buildings as the present solution, also mentioning all Nigerians pitch doesn’t make sense. Obviously you haven’t heard of BIM- Building Information Modelling has proving minimalist design would not only be sustainable but also cater for population explosion especially in a poor country like Nigeria. High rise buildings is expensive and time consuming. Don’t go round degrading people’s opinions because they’re from Nigeria. It’s obvious all you say is out of hatred for Nigeria.

I had this idea since to have a container minimalist solar-powered home for off-k, because of what I've seen on youtube (omo), but was sorta weak regarding the fact that no one has really stood out with one successfully in Nigeria. Thanks a lot Tayo!!!! I wish the interview was longer sha, maybe talking about maintenance, pros and cons of owning/living in one, or just head to head more detailed comparisons to regular cement homes. This won't be the last video on container homes sha! Bless up! EDIT: 8:21 😤Louder Biko!!!! 😤😤🔊

love that NIGERIA is getting in on the shipping container homes!👍🙋🏾‍♀️ makes so much sense and a home shouldn't have to break our bank accounts, no matter where we live in the world. now, what about *tiny-homes-on-wheels?* has that taken off over there yet?? as they're also far more affordable than classic home properties..and the design possibilities are tremendous and have come a long way since their early days.🤗 they can also be easily traveled with or moved to different locations, by an owner alone, with the right kind of everyday, personal trucks🚚 than can handle pulling the weight..lost of videos here on KZbin about them..and they can also easily be custom designed for reasonable prices, if prefab designs are not to a buyer's liking.
