Where did you get Cheese Onion and Salt & Vinegar as the first flavored Lay's? The first flavored chips were BBQ, introduced in 1958. Sour Cream & Onion came out in the 1970s.

As an Australian, I have see Lay's chips here and there, but Smith's chips are EVERYWHERE I didn't realise it was a vast empire. Dorito's also. I like the Green original ones and the Yellow Nacho cheese ones as I can eat them as a coliac. (Also all Smiths chips here are gluten free so bonus!).

I’m good with just a plain potato chip. In fact, having to go on a salt free diet I was surprised to find salt-free potato chips. Unfortunately they aren’t Lays. Fortunately they are really good!

I thought Lays was not a premium brand in the Netherlands. Chips were sold as Smiths 40 years ago.

The first flavored Lay’s chips were Barbeque. Lay’s started out with only one flavor - their classic salted chips, until the introduction of Barbeque flavored chips in 1965, followed by Sour Cream and Onion./ Pringles is an American brand of stackable potato-based chips invented by Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 1968 and marketed as "Pringle's Newfangled Potato Chips". The brand was sold in 2012 to Kellogg's.

Today’s chips from Lay’s is too expensive including Cheetos. Or smaller bags 2 for 96 cents. So, I buy at Aldi’s brands for lot less. But, they do sell only Funyuns in a large bag for nearly $5.

Walkers had been making crisps/chips for decades before Frito Lay bought the company and changed the logo. They didn't launch Lays in the UK and decide to call it Walkers. Judging by the other comments here, the content about other brands is also bullsh1t.

Pepsi isn’t the owner either.. Pepsi have the license from Keurig-Dr Pepper to produce it internationally. In USA depends of the bottler, some are bottled by Coca-Cola franchises, and some by Pepsi.

An inflated bag helps prevent the chips from being crushed and using nitrogen for the inflation preserves them by preventing oxygen from contacting the chips. The amount of chips is controlled by weight.
