In his post game interview last night, Jamie Benn made a very questionable statement regarding his cross-check on Mark Stone. In my opinion, this statement was completely idiotic and I don't know what he was thinking. Let me know your thoughts below!

I am so embarrassed to be a stars fan after witnessing that game. Absolutely uncalled for and he exhibited no remorse when confronted by the press. I’ve never been the biggest Benn fan and now I certainly never will be. That is so incredibly low not to admit wrongdoing after a penalty so blatant as that one, and it very clearly sunk morale for the rest of the game. I’m just as disappointed, if not more at my fellow stars fans who threw debris not only on the ice but at opposing players. It was a disgraceful and embarrassing action to witness that tarnished our reputation as a team.

I’ve followed this team since they moved to Dallas and this is easily the most brain dead decision I can recall a Stars skater making in those nearly 30 years. Jamie has made some questionable decisions at times but this nearly erases all of the positive things he’s done since they put the C on his chest. Believe me, this town is destroying him today. The only reason he chose to phrase his actions like that was to try to avoid the suspension and I hope the league tacked on the second game because of it. His missed game 3 due to ejection, 2 game suspension - could have been more but 3 games significant in the playoffs. Still brutal play with no place in the NHL. Multi-game suspension is deserved. However. Knights' Pietrangelo only getting 1 game for his intentional, brutal, two-handed, lumberjack ax slash on Edmonton' legitimate NHL star Draisaitl in a lost game showed favoritism by the NHL. Pietrangelo should have gotten 3, 4 or 5 games for that. In the last minute, he skated 40 feet, brought up the stick, two hands and the end of the stick for maximum leverage. Dirty and gutless. No place in the NHL. Yet only 1 game. Disgusting favoritism and influence to pick a winner. Most likely for a big payoff in gambling.
