Tennisnerd I think what would make your reviews even better is comparing the racket to rackets of different brand, for example racket A from brand A has similar power level / feel to racket B from brand B. I think that will help people get a better sense of how a racket plays compared to the one they’re using.

Great review as always Jonas, keep it up. Fianlly seems like HEAD is on the right track again with the graphene 360+. I currently use the Gravity pro and I am very happy with it. I've been curious to hit with the new prestige MP and now that the new speed pro have been released, I am curious to give it a try, also. Can you point out the differences between the gravity pro and the speed pro apart from the beam width?

I just switched to this a few days ago, from Pure Strike 2017 100. Very easy to feel the accuracy and flatter shots and flat serce were much improved. However, lazy shots and spins and slice serve are what I miss from this change. Overall, for my game at the moment, this switch is a good decision and very happy :)

Have they changed the specs?? The 360 Speed Pro I tried (pre paint inverse) had a feeble swing weight. I liked everything about it except the sub 320 swingweight and feeble power. Even TW say that the average SW of that one is 318. Not sure what this 360+ one is about. How come this one has a 335 SW? Is it extended or customised?

Excellent review. How does the speed pro compare to the TF40 315 wrt comfort, power and ease of swinging? And the Speed MP compared to the TF40 305? I am using the TF40 315 now and I could use a bit more power, and maybe slightly lower weight. But do not want to lose the comfort and feel of the racket.

Hi, could you help me out. I've been playing with the pure drive for 7 years now, yes, the same racket seven years and i think its time to get a new racquet. But i dont have a demo program in my country, so id really appreciate if you could help me out . I definitely want to buy something other than a pure drive. I like the spin it offers but i feel i need more control. Also id like to point out that i tend to hit the ball a little bit higher than the 9 and 3, its just how i play and cant correct it, i tried.... Just to add i use RPM blast and i like the string, i would like something more forgiving for off center hits though. With that said what wold you recommend from Head, Wilson and Babolat?

I playtested this racket today. His review is pretty much spot on. As for instability in the upper hoop: I wouldn't say instability but you could definitely feel some mass lacking when hitting higher up in the hoop. When you hit the ball at the sweet spot though, this racket is stable as a rock.

Im a classic prestige/ultra tour guy... Liked the characterestics of previous speedpro however had some discomfort as well even at poly at 46 lbs. I think Im gonna pass on the prestige 360 and save up for this. It looks promising
@sunny0514884 жыл бұрын
dj Blackwing that’s strange you got wrist issues with a poly at 46 on the previous model. The previous one was super low powered and flexible. This new one is higher stiffness which would probably be worse on the wrist.
@djblackwing7374 жыл бұрын
The latest speed is more comfy if you listen to the video. I like the older speed but find a bit stiff on impact. Sure it has a lower RA but considering RAs are measured at the throat only means flexibility and comfort based on RAs doest describe the whole picture. Im used to softer frames thats why Im keen on looking for comfort above all else. Anyways everything is subjective. Unlike you, I found the old speed pro 360 a bit stiff and powerfull,
@sunny0514884 жыл бұрын
dj Blackwing very interesting indeed. I find the old speed(which I still use at the moment) to be too low powered and pretty plush. I think the new one is dampening better while at the same time increasing frame stiffness. I didn’t know there was hoop stiffness and throat stiffness as separate variables! That’s good to know. But you’re right it’s all subjective in how it feels. But if you’re looking for comfort, I sometimes play with the microgel radicals and those frames are absolutely butter. They can still be bought on tennis warehouse at this time.

Don't understand you Jonas sometimes regarding your swingweight choices. There is numerous racquet reviews by you on racquets that naturally were coming with 320 325 swingweight and then you were adding lead tape to increase it to 335 340. You even stated so many times that 330-340 is your preferred choice. Now you got racquet with 335 and you call it hard to maneuver and too much to swing at some moments. And also you kept repeating it troughout the review. One thing that I dont understand is also last model was only 318 swingweight average at least from tennis warehouse page. Are you saying that they bumped that for this new model 10 -15 points.
@Tennisnerd4 жыл бұрын
I really like this racquet and swing weight and play well with it, I just wanted to explain that for most people it is in the high range of SW. And even though I like a high SW myself, the downside is always maneuverability. This is logical, I like plow-through and stability, but need to be careful so my racquets don’t get too heavy. I think they have bumped up the SW but not normally by this much. I probably got one that was at the top of the spec range. I would say they likely bumped the Pro to 330. Due to quality control issues that trouble most tennis brands, you can easily get one with a lower or higher spec within a range.
@julioo5344 жыл бұрын
But if Head recomends 24kg up to 28kg is probably because all their raquets supports high tension style

I hear you often complain about your wrist and elbow arm issues. I'm pretty sure it's not because of a "stiff" racket or string. You should work on your technique and on your footwork. I play with a pure drive (2018) and I have never felt any pain in my arm. If you mostly hit clean shots, you'll probably avoid any arm issues.
