I imagine your app is ill informed as KZbin uploads. Breathing out for 8 seconds reduces blood carbon dioxide too much. The key to reducing the overall level of anxiety is to learn to tolerate a slightly higher level of carbon dioxide.

I’ve suffered from panic and anxiety since i was a child. After years of this constant fight or flight my resting heartrate at 16 is 80-120 bpm. This has made me a severe hypochondriac about my heart and cardiovascular health. These breathing exercises help a lot. Thank you.

thanks for this! its great to hear that im not the only one who has a high heart rate due to anxiety (im 17), i thought I was the only one. Most of the time it is late 90s-110 bpm, and when im really stressed and just walking it can be 140-150. Thanks !

Thanks for this. I’m in hospital and had an allergic reaction to medication making my heart rays 170bpm. I did this twice and it has come down to 120!

reduces blood pressure..went from 147/101 to 117/87...in about 10 minutes..... listening to the water sounds and breathing lightly... Yes it does work....heart beat coming down as well... Yes it does work....thank you for the help.. God bless you all and once again thank you

Perfect! I’ve been looking for specific breath flow to lower my heart rate, and incorporate mindfulness, while I say my own affirmations or gratitudes. Im predominantly anxious being, feeling more stress and noticing my heart rate stay up. My heart rate started over 100, and was able to see my heart rate go down to 87. Thank you! I intend to use daily!

@@shreyashsingh5887 I only use it during times of intense anxiety when my heart rate remains consistently high. Thankfully, this doesn't happen to me often. I'm a yoga instructor, so I help manage my anxiety with daily yoga. You should try this during your times of panic though; it helps. I hope you feel better!

I got anemia and my heart is not keeping up. When sometimes when I eat greasy food my heart rate will raise and it causes pain. This helped me a lot in few minutes it calmed down and pain went away

@ALL FOR MASTI it worked to help calm it down,however the heart palpitations continue until the virus has cleared the body.With COVID it’s common for heart rate to reach abnormal levels.Buy an oximeter and check your heart rate thru different times of the day

@@ashishvishwakarma1805 every other day it was different,sometimes I could control it within minutes if I started the breathing exercises once I noticed my heart rate high,other days it was scary where it would take quite longer to control and I had to take breaks and sit upright position and let it calm itself down on its own a little then continue breathing exercise a couple minutes after.This all lasted about 1week and a half however I’m still monitoring my heart rate because it comes and goes kind of unexpectedly but not as high as before now it’s about 105 upon standing and stays around 84 to 95 bpm fluctuating.yes I still practice breathing exercises every other day now and try to eat clean,I don’t put anything in my body anymore to increase heart rate such as coffee,alcohol etc..

Mine is 118 right now and I wanted a guided meditation, but I don’t know what I am supposed to do so I am feeling more anxious. I don’t want to have to read . I found 3 using this same technique, but I have to hold my phone and lock at it and I don’t see very well. I love the water sounds, but not the staring at my phone. That is one of my stresses. 😊

it won't change your blood pressure, your body keeps that constant by making the blood have more resistance if your heart is beating slower.

i've been dealing with anxiety for my whole life and my parents and doctors were concerned about my heart rate (it's around 145 when i'm having a bad attack) but when i'm having a regular one it's around 120, i watched this video and it went from 125 down to 87 which is amazing. ❤️

thank you i am 12 and my heart rate is 140 when standing sometimes from a condition called P.O.T.S (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) Right now when laying down its about 87. i will try to slow my heart rate with this.. im scared because when i get older it will only get worse and it puts alot of stress on my heart so i could go into cardiac arrest or need a heart transplant.

Hi everyone, I wanted to recommend another technique to use in addition to this. If you're having fast heart rate/palpitations, get a bucket/pot of ice and very cold water and submerge your head in. I did this intermittently for 45 minutes and i'm feeling so much better. Side effect is yawning excessively because your vagus nerve is being stimulated but other than that, it works great!

thanks, my heart rate was at 147 a few months ago for two hours and i went to the hospital to get electrolites but ever since ive noticed my heartrate being a tiny bit fast when i get a little anxious or get up from sitting. this helps me because i cant really sleep at night without knowing that my heart rate is atleast at 90 and it normally stays at 100 - 120 its not so suprising though since im young its just really anxious to deal with yknow
