Great info. Thanks. I suspected the bumper would have to come off and your instructions confirmed that and saved me a frustrating wrestle.

Happy to help! I tried to do it without disconnecting the bumper but it must be done. Pretty easy though as you can see. Have fun!

I just did this job and this video was a great help. The 2010 Yaris I changed the lights on had spent its life in Ontario so the hardware was not in great shape. If you're from the snow/rust/salt belt plan on replacing the headlight bolts. Also the 2010 model had different style plastic clips - not more difficult to deal with or anything, but they have a cap locking piece that you remove before taking out the main clip.

Thanks for the tips! It's not easy to figure out all the small changes between model years.

Thanks, I've been putting this off for quite a while now. Your video made it really easy to follow along and not get overwhelmed. Also I discovered my bumper was held on by four of the retaining clips, and one of them was snapped in half!
@EndlessMoneyPits2 ай бұрын
Our retaining clips have been slowly disappearing. I haven't been able to find replacements, so zipties are in place for now.

Your instructions are great. Changed both bulbs succesfully. Easy job, as lobg as you dare to pull on the body parts.

Yeah, not so bad if you just take it one step at a time. Glad you were able to do it!

Thank God it's easier on a Yaris sedan! When I changed my 2007 sedan's bulbs, I had to adjust the light beam aim. It was off quite a bit. I noticed you have a BikesDirect "Gravity" brand bike (at least the box).
@EndlessMoneyPits8 ай бұрын
That's good to know. I haven't even tried to aim the headlights on this car yet. Need to polish the lenses first. The Gravity bike is one I bought for a friend to get him started riding but he doesn't use it. I have eight other bicycles myself. Thanks for watching!

Good explanatory video, and offering the link to replace the plastic bumper cover pins is really great. Just curious, and I've never done it myself, but wouldn't this be a perfect time to clean up those lenses? Remove all of the oxidation would really make the headlight beams more effective and your customer would love the way it loks and improved lighting. Well done video though.

This would be a great time to clean the lenses! Good idea. We have talked about cleaning the ones on this car but have decided to replace them instead because one is cracked. I think I'll try cleaning them just out of curiosity now that you mention it. Would make for a good video. Thanks!

Thanks for showing this. I am going to have to take this to the shop to have done. Grrrr.

Yeah, it's not the easiest design for changing bulbs. It isn't too bad if you go one step at a time but I know it's not for everyone. Sorry I can't help more.

Great video thank you, that looks quite tough in terms of room! Is there left easiest than the right side or other way round? Many thanks.
@EndlessMoneyPits3 жыл бұрын
It's not too tough but you do have to make sure you don't force anything plastic that might break. Follow the steps in the video and there shouldn't be any problems, but let me know if you have questions. I replaced both headlight bulbs when I made this video and neither side is more difficult than the other. Let me know how it goes!

i have a 2013 toyota vitz but i can’t find the rubber part i’m only seeing a metal like plate please help 😢
@EndlessMoneyPits Жыл бұрын
The design can change a bit across the years but it should still come apart easily somehow.
@Ichikorii Жыл бұрын
@@EndlessMoneyPits i was told the metal plate is called a ballast , hopefully i can try to remove it to replace my bulb
@EndlessMoneyPits Жыл бұрын
You must have xenon or HID lights, I don't remember which has a ballast. Our Yaris has halogen lamps which are of a simpler design. You might want to ask someone to help show you how they come apart, or find a different video that covers that type of lighting.

Hey, can you please give me the name/spec of that tiny bulb that's also in the front headlight? Mine is out, and i want to get an LED replacement one. Thanks!
@EndlessMoneyPits2 жыл бұрын
This car just has headlight bulbs and turn signal bulbs in there. Are you talking about daytime running lights? What year is your Yaris?
@TorontoBoi2 жыл бұрын
@@EndlessMoneyPits yes, daytime running lights
@EndlessMoneyPits2 жыл бұрын
Wow, I cannot find that information anywhere. If you remove the bulb it likely has the number printed on it. You could also call a Toyota dealer to get that info. I looked everywhere I could think of online. Sorry I can't tell you the answer right now.
