As a lesbian over 60, I 'm not a typical demographic for this show. That being said, I can tell you that you will find that woman for you once you have developed your feeling of self worth and except nothing less. 34 years ago I met a woman who had been out most of her life and taught me it was OK to be me and I deserved the best back, not just giving. We u-hauled it and I have never regretted that choice. Was everyday perfect, no. But I had the opportunity to raise three boys, and now have six grandchildren. Unfortunately Patty became ill and I lost her three years ago. Trouble with finding your soul mate is learning to live without her in your life, but I still have the support of the family we raised and hope to someday find someone to spend time with however that may come. The point is, don't settle for second best. You deserve the best, and when you accept/expect that for yourself you will find that person who is your equal. As and addendum: Without mutual trust . . . You have nothing worth saving.

13:59. 😔 “I surrender to not knowing the full story. And I’m at peace with not knowing the full story. I know that once I overcome this, im able to be in a happy and healthy relationship. You are a coward, and that is your karma.” Thank you so much. I needed to hear this. My ex cheated on me and she always lied about what really happened and to this day I still hadn’t gotten over it, but I know I’ll be strong enough to let it go. 😩

Having gone through a “shallow” or surfaced-based marriage to end in divorce…: through therapy, journaling and venting….I experienced an epiphany while watching this episode. When the word betrayed was used….it lifted the weight I was carrying. Final piece of the puzzle! Thank you for this show and all of the candid guests that have been on this podcast.

I loved listening to this episode soo much. Rala is absolutely stunning and I'm proud of the work she has done on herself. This episode was soo cathartic for me and it has taken me a while to move past what I went through and learn to trust again. I'm sending love and peace to everyone who has gone through this/ still finding healing.

This has been perhaps the 7th episode of your podcast that I just finished watching, almost on a binge, which, I ought to admit, has left me baffled, given I can't recall ever managing to conjure the requisite attention span to sit through even the most curated content. The idea and the themes that you explore though such sincere, comforting and empathetic engagement with your invited subject, manoeuvring the conversation with such honest attention and complete presence throughout, along with how you connect so warmly, chiming in at just the perfect moments, truly brings out the best in guests. Your underlying focus on mental health, and the effortless way you present it's connection to one's struggles or major life events, makes what you're doing very noble. As someone with a personal, prolonged experience of severe depression and anxiety in the past, your podcast offers with such grace, a warm comfortable space to introspect and look back with newer perspectives on times/things you leave behind. Thanks ever so much for sharing this content, my heartfelt wishes to you for continued success.

This sounds just like my first lesbian situationship. But the funniest part was that there were a lot of red flags at the beginning, and I ignored them all and told my intuition to be quiet. All I can say is that I’m glad I learned before I got into a real relationship.

"Business stood on me" Rala😄 It's amazing the lies we tell ourselves when we are in the thick of it with sum1. Listen to that intuition, baby! Listening to your body is soo important. I've recently adapted that. I'm such a workaholic that I'm always on go go go, even to the detriment of my health. And just this year I've listened to my body on that. If I'm tired I stop everything and just rest. Then pick it back up the next day. And when it comes to relationships (we'll I'm single). But something to think about for a future rel. How to decipher the feelings you have around your 'person' whether that feeling is coming from a good/bad place. Yeah, something to keep in mind.👍🏾

I had a very similar relationship. It was bananas! There were things I couldn't believe it was insanity. This woman said she had MS! She did not. She was cheating, her money stuff was questionable, the whole nine yards. But the worst part of it was that I stayed with her a little past figuring out her bananas shit. A friend told me if I have to lie to my friends about seeing her it was addiction and a really bad sign. It was then that I got out of it. I'm so pissed this era ruined the vibe of one of my favorite fragrances haha.
