I just watched this movie with my 8 yo and it actually present an opportunity for use to talk about how our bodies immune system works. This movie actually reminded me of The Magic School bus, with out the educational commentary. My son tends to tune me out when I try to teach him in a traditional way, so having this moment with my child was really great! My child never once asked me about who the main kid had a crush on. They were way too invested in the plot and how the planet worked.

This is the best video for watermelon hands down! I learned some time ago that yellow spots mean it’s better, but they also said the rounder and heavier the better and left it at that (symmetric I think?) The pollination webbing, sugar seeps, and dark coloration are all new to me! Thank youuuu, now I can actually help my family pick watermelons and KNOW it’s a good one. Nothing worse than getting home with a watermelon and it turns out to be more bland and even grainy. I didn’t even know you could eat the seeds! They have been guiding people away from such an important nutrient source, you always see in cartoons and movies of people spitting them, maybe just for the fun of it? Not for me anymore! I used to not like watermelon when I was little, probably because we never picked a good one hahaha. I had one a few years ago for the first time since I was a kid and absolutely fell in love.

As kids, we used to spit the seeds at each other. I wondered what happened to the seeds and didn’t think twice about them. Then my wife, a Nuyorican, schooled me. I was a bit taken back by your video. I consider myself well informed and well read, and I just did a research paper on Monsanto in 2016, but this video is packed full of thinks I just didn’t know. I moved away from watermelons for a few years because of the rash of Black Face revelations and the jokes. That was an uninformed decision. Thank you for the revelation.

It's always good to wash your produce before you eat it because it's been through plenty of hands even before it gets to the store.
