I was looking at starting a few classes im patient safety and quality and eventually getting my CPHQ certification. I've been a nurse for 10 years and just graduated in 2019 and was just looking at my different avenues.

I will be finishing up my Masters degree in Business Administration in Healthcare Management in May of 2022. I would finish sooner but I only take 2 classes a semester because I am mom of three boys (that I homeschool as well!). I have ZERO healthcare experience and haven't worked since I think 2015 as a substitute teacher (totally different than what I am studying for). Anyway, I watched your other Q & A about entry level jobs and wanted to ask a question. Would it be more beneficial to seek an internship for the Fall or find an entry level job? I am 33, married, and frankly could use the money (with having a job...) but want to do what's best for my career. My degree does not require me to have an internship. Thank YOU!!

I’ve been in the fence of switching to healthcare management. I’ve been a biology then pre-nursing major up until now. These videos help but I’m still nervous about not being able to find jobs in the areas I’m interested. And also how long it can possibly take to get into those upper management roles. I’ve worked in healthcare administration in entry level jobs you’ve mentioned for 8 years now and I just feel stuck

I’ve been reading about the importance of CAHME accreditation for Master’s programs, does this apply to bachelors programs as well? I’ve been having a hard time finding schools who offer CAHME accredited bachelor’s programs.

To get your MHA degree do y need your MBA degree first ?

No, you don't need an MBA. You do however, need a bachelors degree in any subject field.
