Quantity can depend on a lot of factors. Avoid with a meal. Preferably have it on waking up or in between meals.

@@aishwariyadebnath8231 Its pretty simple, I just cut down my calorie intake and started excercising. The key is to stay in caloric deficit. I would suggest you lower the intake of simple carbs and increase intake of complex carbs and protein. And also track your calorie intake. These should be a good place to start for you. I hear that people with kidney stone should avoid tomato seeds and in process end up discarding the flesh ....is there any truth in avoiding the tomato seeds to avoid kidney stones?

Not necessarily. If your kidney stones were oxalates, then you may want to avoid high oxalate food sources like tomato seeds on a regular basis. However pls note the levels of oxalate is very low in tomato seeds & that alone leading to kidney stones is unlikely unless they are consumed in large amounts on a regular basis. Understand the lifestyle factors leading to kidney stone formations & bring in holistic approach including good hydration. All the best.
