I breastfed my first until she stopped at 1 year old, my second nursed until he was over two. Once they eat solid foods nursing becomes more of a comforting supplement and at least for me they would only nurse in the morning and at night before bed.

Nurse however long you instinctly feel. It’s the absolute healthiest thing you can give her right now especially the times we are living in. Each kid is different. Follow your mom instincts and ignore family or friends. My family knew not to ask me that after the first kid. We now have 3!❤️ God bless!

I’m currently breastfeeding my second baby, 5 months into it. My first self weaned at 29 months. I had comments about her age but from 1-2 was my absolute favorite. She also very gently weaned so I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I plan to do the same with this baby. The benefits for not just baby/toddler, but mom as well are incredible!

My son is 2 years and 10 months old and I still breastfeed. Me being a working mom and my son being a busy toddler nursing is our special way of bonding. I do not really understand why extended breastfeeding is discouraged by some people as in many cultures breastfeeding through toddler years is completely normal. Thanks for sharing your breastfeeding experience and I appreciate a lot that you mention it in most of your videos. And yes my son does a lot of back and forth..🤣

When I started breastfeeding I had little expectation for how long I would do it. Started with a goal to reach 6 months, then 1 year. Now that she's 13 months I don't plan on quitting. After doing research I decided to go for 2 years! We'll see what happens after that and along the way. Sending love from Texas. 😊

I nursed my first born exclusively for 14 months and he was done after that. Didn’t want anymore and I didn’t stress over it. My second born only for 4 months as he was least interested and I didn’t take pressure on this. Second born is going on 3 years now and still not a huge milk fan but generally eats well. Moral of the story: every kid is different and you do what you feel is best for you and your baby. Remember happy mama = happy baby/family

Hi Nicole. I breast fed my now 4 year old daughter until about 30 months or so (almost 3 years). I was honestly done though and tired of nursing after 2 years. So the OT we work with helped me slowly wean her. And she was also not interested in table food or any sort of food until after she turned 1. She took her time with everything- eating, weaning from nursing, and walking etc. Also my daughter knee walked for a long time if her hand wasn't being held, before she took more independent steps on her own. Soon after she was running by herself. -Janis

I’m a FTM and baby is 5 months and exclusively breastfed so far. I’m planning to go 12 months until my mat leave is done, then I’m hoping to breastfeed in the morning and at night. I’ll pump and give bottles too once I’m back to work since he already takes bottles really well!

Aww it’s so great that you’re able to still breastfeed Sage. I got a blood clot when my daughter was 5 months so i couldn’t breastfeed while on meds. By the time I was off of the medication, my milk supply decreased and i couldn’t keep up with her needs. Eventually we combo fed with formula and then she wasn’t interested so she’s fully on formula now. She will be 1 next month and even though our breastfeeding journey ended sooner than I had planned, I’m really glad i was able to breastfeed her for 5 months ❤️

It was so so helpful for me as I was confused so much about the topic of giving solids to my little one (now 9 month old) but you put so much true inspiration in your and Sage’s meals that I also got inspired for my baby to like what I am giving her, cooking with my own hands! And making up all with fascinating tastes and combinations. Thank you so much, I feel like when I am inspired there’s a love ingredient in the food! (There always is when mom is cooking though..) But I do think at 1 even 18 months they are too young to stop breastfeeding. But that is just what I am planning on doing.
