To activate nuts, which makes them more digestible and also unlocks certain nutrients, you soak them in filtered water for a few hours and then dry them again in a food dryer. To keep them raw with all of their nutrients, you dry them at no higher than 42 degrees centigrade. A lot of raw foodists activate and re-dry all of their nuts and certain seeds, such as sunflower seeds, prior to consumption.

I love your attitude about making it personal and listening to your body, and your food tips are yummy. I can't wait to try your recipes. I watched your "year 1 recap" video, and agree so much with your philosophy. Thank you for sharing!!! I love that you're in London - I want to visit one day. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, in the US. 😺

I tasted roasted pecans and macadamia nuts this week for the first time in my live and I’m so obsessed. I’m not a nut person but at least I have three that I likes. Almond, pecans and macadamia as long as their roasted and salted. I don’t like eating walnuts but I love walnut milk which I make at home.

I was surprised to see someone with the same taste in food shopping as me..and in my hometown London too.. Would be nice to meet up maybe if in west end and share some recipes... in the meantime, I’ll share some staples in my kitchen cupboard... Meridian light tahini - 0.9g carb/100g and moorishly delicious... acti-snack nut mix (both for home and outdoor snack packs) and fruit,nut,seed mix for my chia pudding (bit high on carb due to dried fruit and nut so use just a little) ... lots of spices like aniseed, cardamom (just a pinch adds so much flavour to chia pudding or tea)... and coconut milk/cream ... kefir... berries (freeze them) ... and Wensleydale cheese (with mango and ginger from Waitrose) is my weakness when it comes to after meal desserts... thank god it doesn’t blow my low-carb lifestyle for away... it’s all so delicious that I have to watch how much I eat, as it can easily go out of hand even if I don’t have self-control 🤤

I♥️ cardamon too. But I often use my essential oils in recipes and love that! I especially love diffusing my spiced chai essential oils for the added respiratory support and uplifting my mind and mood. Its aroma transports me! (I'll cook with herb essential oils instead of spices and avoid the greens sticking in my teeth. Ha.) Of course, not all essential oils give the same results or have supplemental facts for internal use. Mine are CPTG grade and 3rd party tested. Enjoy! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Did you know that you can easy activate nuts yourself. They are just as delicious. Just google it. Add them to salt and water for a certain time , then bake at very low temp to dry /roast. It takes many hours to dry so you need to do it on a home day. Pecans and walnuts ae easiest. Tip:don't mix them all up as some take longer

@@HeavenlyFan What brand of Stevia do you use? My son was diagnosed with Type 1 - insulin dependent - diabetes,at (not quite) age 3, years ago. It was difficult and he is nearly 30 now, took over his own daily "program" - of course - many years ago. Stevia was not legal to sell in the U.S. then, in 80's and early 90's, so we tried our best (had some imported from Japan, it was amazing good! ) I cannot find one that I truly like now, and wish that I could. 😌
@mhad43083 жыл бұрын
@@Eidann63 for stevia and monk fruit sweeteners, you can do researches on your own about but from what I got it’s important that you look at the ingredients. For stevia, it needs to be Only stevia, with no dextrose, chemical products, alcohol sugars, etc. Same thing for the monk fruit. Apparently it’s a bit costly to get a real quality though, but you can still look for it!

I have a tip for your dry hands. Unfortunately a good soap doesn't exist. If you need to wash your hands often it will be causing a problem of dryness. I watch a KZbin channel of a dermatologist and she says, the best way to counteract a bit is to use a urea 5% cream for hands. It should be 5%. In order to restore the moisture of the skin a bit. But the best is to wash your hands as little as possible. I started wearing gloves while washing dishes at all times after seeing her video.
