Man, I thought I’d done a lot of digging into early seventies hard and heavy stuff, but you got loads of stuff I’ve never heard of! I’m watching this video because of the thumbnail. That’s such a cool album! Roll My Own is one of my favourite songs of the period.

Dylan thanks for all the psych recommendations! I’ve been listening to a lot of this stuff recently. I listen to a lot of music but I tend to get in a rut so this has been fun for me listening to stuff I probably never would have heard of. I appreciate what you do!

I’m pleasantly surprised to see It’s All Meat! I was so lucky able to find it in my great-grandmother’s record collection (I don’t even know what it was doing in there) and I listened to it as it was one of the first records I got and I was blown away by the quality of it, definitely a criminally underrated album by an underrated group. Who knew it is as rare as it is? I feel even more lucky to have it in my collection especially as a relative beginner to record collecting

It's All Meat was a Toronto band that also released a highly collectable garage/psych 45 called Feel It in 1969. I attended the Pink Floyd Ivor Wynne show in Hamilton Ontario on June 28 1975. That was a fantastic show, outdoors under a clear summer sky, everybody high. Check out the video of the show on you tube. Cheers.

I believe those copies of the Ivor Wynne June 28 1975 Hamilton show are incomplete with the encore Echoes missing.

Love your channel Noticed you have mentioned Kahvas Jute a few times over the years. They were an early 70’s prog rock band from here, Australia. The lead guitarist, Tim Gaze later joined Ariel for their first album “Strange Fantastic Dream”- - a very interesting album Ariel (guitarist/songwriter and singer, Mike Rudd) were a progression from the Aus prog band Spectrum - recommend if you have not heard them- check out “Spectrum Part 1” , “Milesago” and their last concert “Terminal Buzz”. Early Australian prog. Ariel's second album "Rock and Roll Scars" consisted of a number of old Spectrum songs reworked (at the insistence of EMI in the UK). The album features Harvey James on lead guitar- he was a sensational player. On the Aus heavy rock side- not sure if you have checked out the early albums of The Master’s Apprentices (eg “A Toast to Panama Red”); and Blackfeather (album - Mountains of Madness) and Buffalo (all albums now very expensive), Madder Lake (album - Stillpoint). If you like blues- “Toward the Blues” by Chain (made in 1971)

Hey Dillon, really enjoy your channel and I'm learning a lot about music that I didn't know. But even some obscure stuff I have, you have it as well! Like Braen's Machine. I just stumbled on a band called Il Balletto di Bronzo. You probably don't know them, but if you don't, you're going to love it. (first prints are crazy expensive)

Scorching as always. The Canadian Columbias (like that Hard Meat, Riverson, Jarvis St. Revue etc) is an intersting little rabbit hole. Those psych lps that were only pressed in Canada are all killer. There's only a handful but all are great!

Man, I am really excited about Totty. That is a gem of an album. I have the original lp also of that. The cover is chewed and beat so I got a great deal. Can’t wait to see these all pop up on the Noble Records site! Thanks Dillon PS: Man, I wish you could get the tapes for High Tides “Sea Shanties” That is a huge holy grail for me. I'm super new to records and have only purchased one used record so far (the rest have been new). Maybe this is a dumb question, but do people actually buy records on discogs? I don't have a lot of record store options around me and no record shows that I'm aware of, but getting some original or at least older versions of some cheaper records is something I'm interested in. Thanks for the great content!

Hey Dillon. Wide Open lp I would love to own. It's way too rare. Reissue it? I own a reissue of that Totty album. I just got The Void reissue of It's All Meat. I have reissues of both Gift lps. Great Krautrock. I live and grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and many great psych, hard rock, and funk bands recorded at Peppermint back in the day. Great pick ups as always. Peace.

John's Children would be a cool piece. Shame that it's flawed with the crowd noises, the backing sounds real nice. Roy Rutanen is SO GOOD. Way better than one would think. I just picked up Parchment Farm, real scuzzy Mizzouri boys. Finchley Boys rocks too. I kind of hyped this Chicago obscurity today on my channel, Arnie Anderson & The Force. I could see this having the exclusive treatment. 😉 Crunchy hard rock reminds me of early Grand Funk, or that Midwest flavor like Truth & Janey.
