What was used for Hellblade 2 in the trailer are elements from 'In Maidjan'. I do not know if that is the same as the one you are referring to. You definitely gotta check out their songs Othan and Fylgija ear/ Futhork live at Castlefest, in the second one they perform a ritual in wich the shaman reads bones, it's really beautiful. Btw, they make all of their clothes and instruments, and the big drum that's hanging in the back of the stage was painted with the blood of the three main members : Christopher, Maria and Kai.

I tend to fixate on one artist/band at a time as my all time favorite. It's currently Ren, as it has been since I discovered him March of last year. But before him though it was Heilung. And before them it was Dead Can Dance.

I'm not sure if the sound you are referring to is the same as what I'm thinking of from Anoana, but at the bridge of that song Maria utilises a Scandinavian herd-calling technique called Kulning or Lokk that derives from medieval times.

Heilung ( "Healing" ) call their music Amplified History, an so it is......singing in authentic or imagined protoScandinavian or protoEuropean dialects, their music is hypnotizing.....they make many of their instruments and costumes.....Maria becomes a pre-Christian shaman when she sings ( in a good way )......
