What a beautiful song from her heart, Helen wrote "He Mustn't Know I Know" The song wasn't ever released, Helen was the most prolific female musician and songwriter during the golden age of the Grand Ole Opry (1950's)

To bad that there isn't a new generation of the Carter family that can continue on with the the Carter family legacy. Please let that song, "May the circle be unbroken " mean something. For, the circle had been broken.

I know what you mean but Lorrie, Carlene, Rita and Dale are doing their best, this channel also helps keep their music alive and hopefully a big movie like Johnny Cash, Elvis, Queen ect have had is on the cards in the near future, be interesting to see who they cast, i remember back in 78 Sara was discussing a movie about their lives, i cant believe it still hasnt happened.

I'm surprised they had to have a benefit concert for Helen's medical bills considering Johnny Cash was her brother-in-law. Seems like he could've helped with medical expenses.
@georgeplagianos64872 жыл бұрын
Hi are you saying Johnny Cash didn't help contribute to the medical expenses of Helen? This guy was rolling in money right? People give Johnny such accolades over the years and decades but the first wrong he did was married to his first wife loves him raised two beautiful children and he abandons her for his music career. Isn't that one of the big wrongs he did? His pretty black wife he met during the Korean war She was so patient (just like Madame butterfly)taking care of the kids. I don't know if Johnny visited or contribute to her and the children's well-being. But Johnny was out making a name for himself. I hate to be so blunt but like a deadbeat father. I got one living here who's homeless well-dressed very respectable looking but a deadbeat card carrying Republican putting down immigrants who come to this country working hard well this guy Ray sleeps on the subways 6 years so he don't have to pay child support. He told me after I took him in right at the beginning of the pandemic and is still here living for nothing not even contributing to take the trash out a real opportunist sob. I shouldn't have been so humane to take him and three other homeless people during this now I can't even rent the two only apartments I have here in Brooklyn. I only try to help these people save them from getting sick with offering them a place to live temporarily but they're not looking to get on their feet and get help from the city Public services to find them a place. So they're taking advantage and one is threatening me with violence if I keep begging him to leave and find his own way. I'm 70 years old I'm not responsible for anybody's well-being this 54 should have gotten this act together by now. Now I'm stuck with him.. sorry to bring this up but Johnny Cash makes me wonder how honorable he was with his family his first family not with one of the Carter sisters he left his first wife for.. thank God thank Jesus my mom and dad stay together all these decades and not go philandering

People do benefits like this all the time. Having money doesn't obligate anyone to share it. And it seems like this was her niece's idea anyhow. Who knows what was contributed and by whom. Johnny very likely did contribute. He also had responsibilities to his estate and heirs. If you start distributing your money to everyone you know who has medical or other expenses, you'll go broke pretty fast. And burn a lot of bridges if you don't give to everyone. People win huge lotteries and then end up miserable or broke because everyone wants a handout, and gets mean if they don't get it. Communists like this George clown who commented don't understand because they're losers and think that other people's property should belong to everyone.
