Like in Mechwarrior :P Laser weapons are better at stripping armor. Kinetic weapons are better at internal damage.

That would actually also be a good way to make the sickle useful too. Just let it wear down armor so less & less penetrating weapons will eventually damage the region.

I'm of the view that the Thermite grenade should be armour stripping. A few moments sizzle and loud pop, and the armour is stripped where the grenade stuck. It's not an aoe weapon for crowd control and it's damage is poor, but if it could simply strip armour, it would make it useful and give loadout options.

I'd be fine if any grenade strips armor, we all have grenades on us already. Shrapnel can tear through a lot of materials. Makes sense and is viable

I keep seeing this issue coming up where heavy enemies are in discussion but nobody mentions the fact that those 2-3-4 chargers running around you have 30-40 smaller bugs that are faster than you, most of the time kill you in 2-3 shots and they also slow you, so let's be realistic here, focusing on "ah you can kill a charger with this gun if you actually want to", no, fuck that noise and don't insult people's intelligence, people who play this game know exactly what I'm talking about

Yeah the chargers is the Tank the hunter are what kill you. How many time I saw 2 chargers running at me and was like light work and after that you see the group of little shit behind them and 😢➡️⬇️⬆️➡️⬇️

Stalwart my beloved. I always let my team mates handle the big guys and just bring around expendables. I keep the lil guys off them, they blow up the big guys. People just focus too much on the big stuff and forget to work together imo

If I can't find a spot to climb to avoid them I just sidestep the chargers and kill those 30-40 smaller bugs with the anti-infantry weapon/stratagem I'm running atm then do a 180 and pop the chargers with w/e anti tank I got. I know its not that easy sometimes but that's the beauty of the game, constant adaptation = infinite gameplay. Also if you really want to kite stuff effectively I suggest light armor

I feel like a thermite should be a category of damage that doesn't necessarily do a lot of damage but destroys/strips armor from enemies. So I wouldn't then mind having stuff like a thermite rifle that shoots thermite rounds. Or a shotgun that shoot a spread of thermite rounds. Pistol, sniper. Thermite orbital strike. The idea being you use it in combination to kill armored targets.

I don't like "unrealistic" models. If you shoot a thermite round or grenade on an enemy, and the armour has melted off, it should do damage. As it would in real life.

No, it only does single target damage. So, if it does not do A LOT of said damage, its usless compared to other grenades that can save you by killing a big group, objective, or stun heavy so you can run away or flank them. You sould always view abilities in comparison whith each other.

Kind of? People take it too far. You only need to kill enough to get far enough to disengage. A lot of people keep shooting even enemies that are no longer a threat, drawing in more enemies, and then getting stuck having to constantly shoot and run. And that leads to them having 6 chargers and 4 bile titans chasing them, and then they blame the game for not giving them enough anti-heavy weaponry

Currently they need to stop nerfing and buffing the weapons, and focus on weapon fixes, such as the DoT issue, scope misalignments, and Arc inconsistencies etc. Get all the weapons and strats working as designed first, then look at any further balancing. Yes, they need to bring out WBs, that's their income stream, but game breaking bugs will turn players off, and it's hard to get them back once they put the game down. Glad to see this performance fix come through, let's keep this going AH.

I think they should buff all the weapons so they're about as close to the meta as reasonably possible...then they can adjust enemy power (types, quantity, health, reaction, damage, etc.) to how they want, so players can adjust their loadouts with the most equalized weapons to what devs do (i.e. if devs suddenly make air units plentiful, we bring out a lot of stuff to deal with air units). This allows devs to better focus on bug fixes and new content, like they wanted.

What's really broken about the game. To me the game still runs smooth no crashes in a long time and the guns feel still usable they need more content constantly fixing the game but I've ben playing on ps5 and hasn't had any of these issues

They've already addressed this talk, quite simply it's easier said than done, because it's a live service game and players are going to want to see new content, you maybe okay with them not releasing anything new and just focus on fixing but I assure you there's a lot of players at the edge of their seat waiting for new content and balance changes, and if they don't get it in time then they're gone. The devs are trying their best to balance it out

I think one of the biggest improvements between HD1 and HD2 was the perspective shift from top down to third person. This made the game a lot more immersive and appealing for me, and probably had a big impact on sales overall.

My thing is that even with them reducing heavy spawns and increasing chaff spawns, which they've done, it still doesn't mean that you can't get swarmed by chargers and have multiple titans up at once. B/c this still happens anyway. The whole meta of the game is designed around having to use AT support weapons and strategems to deal with those heavy targets, but there's too many to rely on strategems alone to carry the day for you. Thus, everyone ends up having to bring AT as their support weapon, if you don't then you're literally just hoping that the rest of your team deals with all your problems. IMO they need to either give us more primaries that can deal with AT, freeing the support weapon slot up, or buff the strategems that deal with AT so they can do it more effectively. Lower cooldown of railcannon to make it more useable, lower call-in time of precision so you don't have to enable it with a stun first, buff the 110mm rocket pods so they can at least one shot a charger, things like that. I'd still like to see more AT primaries though personally, there's so many cool strategems that just don't ever get a chance to be picked b/c we only have 4 precious slots, one of which is a support weapon so really we only get 3. And if you rely on 2 of those being based on AT removal, such as taking the railcannon and 500kg, then all of a sudden you have ONE flex pick and that's if you don't bring a packback in which case you're full and done.

Can’t stress enough how important the tip you gave to dive is. A lot of players don’t know about the damage resistance. Being able to run up to a bile titan and throw a 500kg bomb at ur feet and dive away 2 feet without a scratch is beautiful. Pair it with a heavy armor rocking the 50% explosive damage resistance passive and you’re chillin. I was literally playing on a HellDive difficulty bot mission yesterday with the Devastator armor on and I dove head first into a rocket and not even a tick of damage on me, *chefs kiss*

I think the AT Issue is a big problem in the game right now. AH may not want any kind of meta, but in reality we have it. If you don't have an AT weapon that can deal with heavy enemies quickly and is reliable you are screwed. And since you can only carry 1 support weapon (e.g. like quasar or rockets), stuff like Flamethrower or Machine gun is totally obsolete.

I'd love to have a primary weapon that could deal with Chargers. I wouldn't mind it having a small ammo pool and long reload as long as it lets me use weapons like the flamethrower for crowd control.

I am playing on difficulty 7. I get by well with 110 mm Rockets as armor shredders ( enlarged weapons bay means I can use it three times in a row with a cooldown of five seconds and then another cooldown of 1.5 minutes I think). Then, as a secondary, I have the orbital railgun which aims it shots. Finally, orbital airburst ammo incase of a bug breach. That allows me to take the machine gun. The MG43 is particularly useful against the bugs in my humble opinion as it can take down everything head on except chargers and bile titans.

​@@chrismath149 you might be able to do that in 7. Once you get to 9, you HAVE to bring AT as the amount of chargers and titans forces you to bring one. I once forgot to bring AT and i paid for it. I was being chased by 6 chargers and 1 titan. Definitely not fun time. Orbital railcannon become useless as 1 charger kill every 3min or so is god awful.

I play with a solid team and I can say that a Recoilless Rifle team that reloads each other is op. If you and your teammate are on the same page you can just pound everything to death with rockets but you have to play as a team. That's why the Quasar and the EAT gets used more. Random people aren't willing to play as a team.

Actually now that they've made the RR reload staged, you can look at the bottom left indicator near the end of the reload and there's a huge time save. You can get it down to 4 seconds total. Plus, after you've thrown the spent shell casing out, that part of the reload is a stage and will be saved. Means you can get safe and finish the reload really fast. Combined with the module to fully resupply support weapons on a single resuplly pack? RR is way better than even the old Quasar.

Bit of a tip (I'm assuming all 4 of you are running recoiless) cut that number down to 2 recouless. Then the other 2 take quasar specifically. When fighting a group of bile titans/chargers or hulks/tanks/striders have the 2 quasar guys fire of their shots, reload the other two as they fire, stop reloading to fire another quasar and switch backpacks (I'm assuming your midway through the game by this point and have given the 2 QC the RR backpack) then go back to the team reload and finnish with 2 more quasar shots essentially. You have 2 rockets who don't need to worry about ammo and 2 that have HUGE burst potential.

The nerfed weapons were cool as they were pre patch. Instead of turning good weapons into mediocre, they should focus turning useless into good..and priority focus should be on fixing crashes

@@Roberta-yf4ge They did all the buffs before the dot damage bug was a known issue to them. Same thing happened with the nerf to the railgun and the crossplay damage bug. People are really underestimating how good Eagle Napalm and Orbital Gas Strike is, but they only work properly in solo play.

@@etr1us I just checked the patch notes. Patch 01.000.202 (April 9): Known Issues - Damage-over-time effects may only apply when dealt by the host. Patch 01.000.200 (April 2): Fire damage per tick increased by 50% (from all sources). As you can see, they buffed fire damage before they had acknowledged the dot bug.

Its not fire dmg that kills charger in a few seconds. Its when you shoot his leg with a flamethrower, because flamethrower ignores armor on a leg.

At the end of the day, heavy armor is heavy armor, it only makes sense that you need heavy firepower to take down such enemies, you don't see soldiers blowing up tanks with AK-47s, no....they use high explosives like air strikes, RPGs and landmines

Yes, BUT: Soldiers are not usually bound to 4-persons-or-less teams with uncoordinated loadouts. An individual soldier in the real world doesn't have to be able to deal with every possible threat and can focus on a specialisation. This only works in HD2 when you have a prearranged team.

@@Wonzling0815 Dude what are you even talking about, thats completely out of context and doesn't apply, mostly every multiplayer FPS out here has a class system, take for example BF1, if you don't play as the assault class you get no AT rocket or AT grenade so you're just a sitting duck when a tank catches you slippin, nobody complains, at least in HD2 you get the option to bring AT equipment whenever you want, if you decide to not take any with you then that's your problem, if you're playing with friends then I trust you guys can handle your setups accordingly, with randoms it's a different story, randoms will always be randoms.

But if soldiers got up to a tank and throw a grenade in the hatch it would kill the crew.. point being its a video game. They so desperately want to push diverse loadouts.. okay but instead of making the loadout that solves the problem (quasar for at) worse maybe add diverse solutions to the in game problems. Bile titans basically require 500kg or AT to deal with in a timely manner. Not exactly diverse solutions currently

Diving is very effective to get through weird invisible barriers. If you board the pelican from the side you can get stuck, I've also dropped inside of some of the indestructible structures that I was able to dive back through the wall.

I have another recommendation to add at the end of the video: use the melee. It's the same function in L4D, buying space, but it does also do damage. The knockback and stagger works on every bug smaller than a Charger, and even on most Automatons. The small bots usually act confused when hit in melee and small bugs panic and try to keep their distance. It's hilarious. I still have not seen other players with Melee Kills in the Stats screen. Give it a try.

My issue is you're basically forced to choose between anti-tank power or spawn clearing, since the nade launcher shares the same slot as the EXATs and there isn't really anything else that can reliably close a bunch of bug holes outside of the eruptor and *_maybe_* the nade pistol.

@@kamikeserpentail3778 What if you're using stun/smoke grenades and/or you already used the resupply strat for stims? When you add in the awfully small amount of rounds you can get for the nade pistol even with resupply packs, it makes some loadouts virtually impossible to work with even if they're otherwise reasonably functional ones. There *_are_* ways the devs could resolve this dilemma though, like making the ammo economy on the nade pistol much less awful, or -- hear me out on this one -- making all explosives having AT properties, so that even something like the nade launcher can still be used well on heavies.

​​@@Brown95P For bugs i do supply backpack and the grenade armor for that reason. Supply pack and nade pistol would also work. Explosive primary of some sort and your flavor of pistol. Orbital strike and eagle strikes to fill out anti heavy. Works out for a balanced load out if you have the standard 3 x at guys on the team lol.

​@@Brown95P bots unironically always use the autocannon 500 kg for detector towers orbital precision strike and a shield relay to prevent your hellbomb getting sniped at gunship facilities. Grab stun nades if you cant hit hulks and that build does everything on bots.

I think in a group, there can exist more diversity in the loadout, like some carry weapons good for chaff units while others carry AT weaponry for the bigger units. The issue right now is that there are clear winners when it comes to each category, naturally as some weapons will rise to the top. Like why would I waste my time carrying the MG support weapons, when I can easily take care of the smaller units with breakers, scorcher, dominator, and blitzer, that also leave me room to take something better like EAT/quasar for bugs or AC/LC/AMR/quasar for bots? I think a lot of the guns feel pretty good to use, but some of them are either too weak, have bad ammo economy, too long reload time, etc. It's not all doom and gloom but I feel like they need to stop compensating too hard on some weapons being too good, when in reality, the reward for using those weapons often time doesn't outweighed the drawback.

Dont underestimate the MGs! Im always happy to have a Stalwart user in the team when we get flooded with 50 hunters and he just mows them down. Pairs well with the eruptor for the beefier bugs.

@@2MeterLP Yeah, but you can also efficiently clear out those hunters with well place incendiary breaker shots, or with the new Blitzer that has great crowd clear now with the faster shot speed. That leaves me with a better support weapon that can potentially take down chargers and titans, which is much stronger than having an Eruptor.

main problem with AT loadouts is usually that the people run around like headless chicken and are essentielly ''not doing their Part'' the moment a scavenger or pouncer gets a little close they run away like they just saw a Titan spawn right before them ... that's what your Primary (or secondary) is for not to mention that noone is considering to cover each others backs

I know it's a little impractical sometimes, but I love running Eruptor as a primary, since you can 2-shot charger rumps, leaving you free to dedicate all your anti-tank to titans.

It seems such random stuff changes each patch. Last night I was fighting bugs and I couldn't even run away from them. I was getting destroyed. Usually you're faster than them, but I was getting chased down constantly, like they'd had a speed buff or something.

I believe there's a lever on difficulty. One day I do several missions on high difficulties with new random crew each mission and it's cake walk. The next day, same planet, same difficulty still with randoms, no update and it's a nightmare. Joel has more power than we think

Really maybe it’s because I run light armor but the only thing that can catch me are chargers and even then if you have enough of a head start you can out pace them and I feel they nerfed the mobility on hunters they don’t seem to jump as much and feel easier to dodge but they do attack faster and do that tongue attack more

I don't see a lot of people doing this, but even if you are not the host, flamethrower is op against chargers. 3 seconds of flame against the leg joint will kill them; this is a really effective way of dealing with them, so that you can use the AT for the bile titans

They should communicate which weapons they’re wanting to represent the baseline. That way we have a reference to anticipate potential buffs or nerfs

Is this on PC or on ps4? I see this comment on many videos but... I play PC on a STEAM DECK no less. Locked at 30 fps medium o low settings. 40 to 50 hours in, I haven't experienced anything like what is being described. Maybe I just haven't been over loaded by higher difficulties yet I'm not sure. I just figured it would definitely happen on a machine like a steam deck if anything performance wise were screwing up.

When I have at least two AT weapons on my squad, I rock an airburst, Eagle airstrike, 500kg and the O.R.C. Secondary is the grenade pistol, and Jar-5. I basically save the 500kg and E.A for chargers, I stun them with the stun grenade, and kill them with stratagems. Whenever a bug hole opens up, just unload with the ARL. You’ll get get 10-20+ Kills every time you shot. It’s a Hard deny to bug holes/patrols. It’s somewhat effective against bots too, but nowhere near as strong against the bugs. You get a lot of kills while being a hard area denial member to the team, it’s an effective feel good build. If I’m feeling spicy, which I usually am, 380mm for even more area denial/objective/ enemy stronghold clear

That changed the fire rate of the arc shotgun btw, it’s significantly faster and since you don’t have to reload or overheat and can sprint between shots I’ve been taking it on Helldive missions against bugs cause it has suprisingly good crowd control and yes it does have good impact and staggers multiple enemies per shot

Having recently solo'd a whole Helldive Opperation, the "Keep Running" strat where you don't stay in protracted fights is the way to go. Even in Eradicate Helldive requires a lot of movement and fire that you can call down.

I'm that person on a team that brings the eruptor, 6 impact grenades, jetpack, MG, orbital railgun strike and eagle airstrike to tier 7 or 8 bug missions. If three of my team are all kitted out anti tank then thats my loadout. Mobile. Excellent at dealing with any threat, brilliant at hosing down hunters, capable of soloing chargers or blowing the bile sack off a titan, drop the railgun on cooldown and hose down hunters and explode anything above that. Saved so many teams with my withering crossfire and about a 65% accuracy rate over 40 minute missions. There is a place for mobile supressive fire in these missions already BUT you need to look at your teams loadouts first. It's also mission dependant and terrain dependant for how big your advantage gets. Nobody has kicked me yet.

I think the solution would be not buffing a support weapon to add more options but having heavy penetrative primarys that can act as a support weapon. Like a single bolt 50 calibre sniper rifle great for charges and bile titans. That would open up the slot for things like the stalwart, which would be better for crowd clearing.

the new freezing warbond should have a freezing mechanic where you build up enough cold on a target, and then their armour becomes brittle and you can crack it with regular weapons.

The post mentioned more weakspots like the Automatons have, I think. Most of us remember the "elbow meta" or whatever it was called, where you could quickly kill a charger with very precise AC shots to the back if its front leg's knee. Now, this was and is impossible for me, as my aim is shit and that spot was super small, but I think more weakspots that you can exploit with med armor piercing are desperately needed. I also think that the heavy machine gun, as well as exploding weapons like the Eruptor should be able to crack armor over time. Not just for bugs, but also bots. There is only so much abuse armor can take before it crumbles.

I’ve played 2 games where the extraction ship was glitched. Meaning the ship landed but we were not able to get on. We even waited until the timer ran out and the ship left without us. Random 🕳️ you fall into but don’t die you’re stuck down there until you sometimes can kill your self or a team mate kill’s you with a grenade.

Addressing the fact that at high level enemies have too much armor mixed in. The biggest problem here is that the bleed out.Timers for vital titans and chargers are way too long and there isn't a similar mechanic on the automaton side

I miss when chargers got stunned running into things. I only ever kited it into a rock and then shot its back out. Now if I don’t bring a quasar into the mission, I will 100% get overwhelmed by chargers.

Agreed. I am a huge... HUGE!!! Fan of the idea of not nerfing items but buffing items that are not being used. For example, if items are "meta" and others are mediocre, how about making the mediocre items better? It's not that crazy! I reject the idea of power creep when 90% of the gear is unused because it's mediocre.

13:21 the issue with diving is the bugs will punish you for being on the ground because of that bug where you can't get up if they have you pinned, so diving is worthless in some cases.

To be honest, I do rely on randoms to take care of heavies. I try to specialize in crowd control and I stick with the team to cover and callout threats. Randoms aren't always reliable but it's a great feeling when a random team just works.

I'd love to see some armour breaking weapons, similar to the upgrade in deep rock galactic. Instead of medium armour piercing, we could have 'Armour Tearing'. Maybe make it so the first two or three shots tear off armour of light enemies and then let it do similar damage to light armour piercing. But to actually make it good, allow it to tear armour off chargers and bile titans. Might take half a mag to tear off a good chunk but it will definitely diversify loadouts.

Kinda wish orbital rail and precision strike had shorter cooldowns and rocket pods were actually good and with more charges. And that thermite grenade was actually able to one shot chargers with headshots

if you run orbital railcannon and 110 eagle rocket pods, you can kill a titan with that combo, 110 could kill a charger but if it doesn't it weakins him as a recoiles on the leg or side could bleed him out. that way you can run a HMG for other mobs, the combo is so good I find myself only using that over any other stratagems at least when I solo, but when I run with a team you can do way better stuff with assited reload recoiles and one guy with expendable

I personally like the difficulty at the moment but I do agree there needs to be a armour breaking mechanic in the game where even with small arms fire you can break the armour on chargers and other but with just a lot more ammo to balance it out or maybe we have armour cracking weapons that deal a lot of damage to armour but basically none to squishy bits if you get what I mean like a heavy slug that fractures armour making that area susceptible to small arms fire

I tend to use a stun grenade and either a 500 or my flamer to kill chargers. 500 is useful for bile titans and the flamer for smaller guys. Tends to work out well.

One thing i wish i saw and this would probably make people take this stratagem more is for the acid gas shot (yes its acid not toxic gas despite what people think) and the gas would eat at the armor of heavy units making them destructible to maybe medium or light weapon fire. I know a gas grenade is coming as well so they could maybe add it to that as well. One thing people keep forgetting is the Arc thrower does have armor piercing, now is it a fast weapon to kill chargers no, it takes from 8 to 14 shots, but the arc thrower does bypass armor, i've actually even seen it destroy armor off chargers, it has unlimited ammo with no overheat, and it works well on chaff enemies. O and the arc thrower is really good at staggering medium enemies and even some hulks (though they did just nerf it recently so its not as strong of a stagger now).

It's super effective to have a diverse team loadout, except when a heavy shows up. This makes at least 3/4 players carry a heavy weapon like the EAT, quasar, or recoilless, which means you have very little diversity. I actually hate playing with those weapons a little bit now because I've done it so many times. I am excellent with the grenade launcher, it really helps my team if I can use one to take out the spewers, but if only two other teammates have weapons that can quickly take out Chargers I have to take off my supply pack and grenade launcher and replace them with a recoilless.

Another Thing that would help, is more different Kind of Enemies. At the Moment its just Cannonfodder, or Enemies with heavy armor. There is no lightly armored Enemy with lots of HP in the Same class as a Bio Titan or chargers. If some of the Titans and chargers would get replaced by such Enemies, AT would not be that important.

explosive weapons should have an armor strip function built in. naturally heavier munitions (grenade launcher vs AT) should have more armor strip capabilities. i also think beam based weapons should get bonus armor pen based on how long you hold down the trigger (potentially with bonus damage).

At a certain point, you can just run away from just about everything and just ignore heavies. I've been using jetpack and all orbitals/airstrikes lately, and it just trivializes the whole game. You only ever need to gun down hunters, and maybe the odd brood commander.

Knowing that fire weapons don't work would explain why the incendiary breaker felt so bad. I'll have to give it a try after the next patch. It's also good to know the anti-material rifle is misaligned; I'll have to test it for offset.

I do think that Terminids are missing exploitable weak spots, unlike the Automatons. If anti tank weapons or heat generating weapons could stripes part of the heavy armor so that the target become sensible to medium penetration weapons, this could be good.

Air burst has made anti tank weapons less of a requirement on bugs. It deletes all small targets leaving you with time, space and undivided attention to deal with chargers and titans. Work as a team and you can breeze through it.

@@LCInfantry one tactic I like is flames, bullets, and arc damage, spread out in that order. Completely shuts down any advancing horde. With the bullets guy bringing in a sentry and anti tank so the last one can focus of objectives. Also assault mines with air burst, just cover the large nest in mines after bombing it for chaff and you can just close the holes at your leisure. Is it chaotic to drop mines as offensive weapon, yes but the AI isn’t trained for that tactic either cause they never react to the stratagem when it’s thrown.

I use rocketpod and mg or hmg to kill charges. Bile titans i rely on crack bile sac than rocket pods. Even eagle airstrike can kill chargers and bile titans if the beacon could stick to them...

The rocket pods are fairly decent against the Bile Titans. I usually rock the Eagle 500kg or rocket pods. Airstrike. Anti tank sentry (very good against heavies) and the recoiless rifle (Also great for heavies) Punisher shotgun is great too. I have hit a Titan countless times directly with a 500kg and it survived somehow. Recoiless is a reliable bit of kit

Either they introduce weapons with Bile acid so we can get windows were the enemies amour stats weakens a level H>M>L>L or their going to introduce something to promote team coordinating so people feel motivated to take the roles as Heavy Killer, Swarm defuser and Objective ninja anyway we can just wait and let them cook 👨‍🍳

The funneling towards AT weapons on Helldive difficulty is a pain. I often purposefully drop the difficulty down to 5-7 range just because I want to play with non-AT weapons. Yesterday I brough a Laser Cannon in for a Helldive just to see how it would go and I spent 20 minutes of the whole game kitting bile titans and dancing around chargers and couldn't do much to assist the rest of the team. You don't really have a choice but to bring something reliable to kill these things.

I was thinking that the Thermite grenade was what was going to weaken armour to let you kill them with your primary. What they need to do in every slot, is add something to let you strip armour to free up your other slots for how you want to play. Be it the armour killer, crowd controller etc.

I think orbital railgun needs its cooldown lowered significantly. Perhaps it’s call in code as well. It’s a single target high precision strike, it can’t wipe a base like a barrage or the orbital laser. It’s got less general utility than the precision strike. Imho the cooldown should be 2 minutes or less.

They already are buffing primaries to work as a budget version of support weapons. (Like the counter sniper being just a tad weaker AMR now or the grenade pistol) This will also allow the support weapons to take a more flexible place in our loadout. I've seen people trying out expendable/situational weapons along with something more specific, mainly has to do with EAT, but for something like the geological survey I've also seen it used to pop the incoming dropships and then returning to their usual support weapon.

How to enable people to take non-anti-tank weapons: buff anti tank things. Currently a rocket takes 4 shots to tople a titan, it should be 2 or 3 500kg, orbital Lazer, rail gun should have the possibility to 1 hit enemies. By buffing the anti-tank gear in this way it's still needed, but not so much everyone needs two or three like they do now.

I'll always say it, buff often, nerf when there is no other choice at all. Understand why players are using a setup, and if you don't like that setup being popular, give them other options to do the same job. The Quasar nerf is a hot topic right now, and it shouldn't be. Leave it be, bring alternatives up to be on par. People don't pick the already slow cooldown anti-tank that has a crazy long wind up speed because it's great, they choose it because it's consistently available and able to fill a role. * Have the thermite actually remove armor like we expected. * Fix the spear aiming and ammo economy * improve recoiless ammo economy * cut EAT times * Improve railgun into a heavy targeting option No one wants to be on a mission and have a single charger or hulk just make them powerless to effectively counter them. You feel like you have no control, and you're just slowing the team. On the other hand, if you have 3 chargers and manage to stick the EAT beacon to one and headshot the other 2, you feel like a gaming god. Buffing alternatives is the best type of nerf.

Helmet and cloaks need some type of attributes even if it's minor. Helmet possible options- -reduce recoil by 5 or 7 -slightly improves visibility in fog -alerts you of heavy enemy with in 30m Cloak -10%faster stamina recovery -10%more armor -throw grenades and stratagems 10% further. -10% faster running speed when you aren't sprinting.

People always talk about how you can kill tanks with non-anti-tank weaponry and they’re right. I can shoot a charger in the butt, assuming that I don’t have hunter, spitters, etc stopping me from doing so and assuming I’m willing to waste most of my ammo (which really hurts after the ammo count change). So yes, I could theoretically run no AT and be a mob clear guy. However, the second my AT team mate decides to abandon me, it will take infinitely longer to kill the tanky enemies, which increases the likelihood of a random patrol showing up to cause another breech or call a drop ship. This is the reason your “you can run no AT” argument doesn’t really work in practice.

I feel like shooting the soft spots of chargers and titans should do way more damage. Cause they do have weak points that can be damaged by regular weaponry, it's just that their "weak points" are not all that weak and it takes an eternity to kill them that way. It should still be slower than taking them down with anti-tank weapons of course but it could be at the very least viable. wouldn't kiting around a charger and being able to take it out with your primary feel so rewarding?

I feel like a lot of people are missing an important aspect and that is AT weapons aren’t the only way to deal with heavies. You have stratagems like the 500kg, orbital rail cannon and eagle airstrike that can effectively kill heavies if you don’t want to run AT weapons. Even some sentries like the auto-cannon sentry for example can effectively kill a bile Titan. Medium armor pen weapons can kill most heavies in the game as well. This game gives you plenty of ways to kill heavies. Then again people have been using nothing but the Quasar for so long that it seems a lot of people must have forgotten about that.

Incendiary breaker doesnt do anything to chargers. Still takes 2 mags to pop its butt. I think chargers got a butt buff, because i used to be able to pop them with one shot from erupter. Been shooting same exact spot and now it takes 3

For me from day one on my first mission with the eruptor it took 3 shots, also if it could one shot chargers that would have been straight up broken

13:35 Um no, as far as im aware diving doesn't give you a massive boost of damage reduction, diving and being prone reduces the damage of explosives and that's all.
