Highly recomend just replacing the oil pump and water pump as part of the rebuild especially if pushing 150k on the motor.

you dont need a gasket for the other side to the block?

We ordered a full engine rebuild gasket kit and it didn't have one for that. I'd imagine since it's machined surfaces on both sides it seals alright. If your concerned I'd maybe do a thin application of rtv gasket maker around the holes.

Are you sure it’s 35ft lbs? All I see is 21ft lbs or 90 in lbs?

I didn't check the internet, my specs are all from the Chilton guide however do what you feel is best.
