My grandfather actually did something similar to Ross, but his worked out. He dated my great aunt for a while, and when they didn't work out, he asked out her sister. They wound up being married for almost sixty years, so it turned out well. And I'm with you about Chandler. I wish they would have left him alone. Not all of us are people that cry, and there's nothing wrong with that either. I just don't cry when I'm upset/overly happy. I've shed a few tears when I was in terrible pain, but I didn't cry at my wedding, when my kids were born, or when my father died. I'm just not a crier. If you are, there's nothing wrong with that either. We're all just built differently.

Thank you for saying that thing about allowing yourself to cry. Some people call me cold because I sometimes indicate I feel like it's a choice you make. I might sound cold, I can agree with that, but I do agree with your point. I had a pretty rough childhood in which I had to leave home at a very early age, my father use to beat me up and not allow me to cry because if I did, he would beat me harder. Well time went by and although I feel emotional on the inside sometimes, I still can't cry or perhaps I don't allow myself to, maybe it's about some repressed thought that crying will make me weak and if I show that, people will see me as needy and high maintenance. I don't know. Phoebe was hilarious in this episode though 😃

Your comments about how you can control whether or not you cry were interesting. I remember having a conversation with my dad many years ago where I had to explain to him that when I cry, it's involuntary and most of the time, I wish I could stop. And it's not even like I stop being able to think reasonably or lash out or anything--I just can't stop the tears sometimes. And that fact seemed to astound him because I think, like you, he had more control over that. It's just so curious how different people are with their emotions.

​@@phantomsidious2934 it's not a mistake. It's a consequence of the change in aspect ratio, remember this was made for old TVs so it's originally meant to be seen in 4:3, but since these are HD versions they are in 16:9 so we're seeing stuff that was never meant to be seen.

I think I just found a plot hole in the second episode? lol. Here, Phoebe is apparently aware of what happens in Bambi, but in the episode with Old Yeller, we find out that her mom always turned off sad movies before the end to save her from knowing what happens. I wonder if the writers just forgot that, or if it was so minor they didn’t feel like it mattered. Generally, the writers of the show are pretty on point with details and references, as we see in the same episode where they mention that it’s been 5 years since Chandler and Joey’s sister. The whole series is filled with little callbacks like that if you look for them, but this is the first time the Bambi thing caught my attention lol
