You say at around 10:00 that you'd generally do some tests to help you determine actual values to use for speeds & accelerations. What types of tests would you do and how would you use the results to help you determine actual values to set?

Take a look at the calibration tests built into orcaslicer. Those test will help you dial in on your values. Let me know if I am answering your question.

Great video.. I have a similar question: For instance there is already an Anycubic Vyper profile, however it is only for a .4 nozzle size, what needs to be changed from the .4 nozzle profile to utilize a .6 nozzle on the same printer.

You will need to test and change the flow rate. I think you will also need to play with pressure advance.

@@minimal3dp Great video. I also have a very similar question. I'm slowly moving a Sovol SV06 that I was using on PrusaSlicer and want to move to Orca Slicer. I see there is a Sovol SV06 .4mm Nozzle profile but I'd like to start using larger nozzles (.6mm & possibly a .8mm). Could I simply clone the .4mm nozzle size to make a .6mm nozzle and use the same print settings for a .6mm nozzle? I'm assuming I'd have to make some minor adjustments to "line widths" & "speed" & of course do some calibrations and etc... for a .6mm nozzle. I haven't tried it yet but wanted to get a 2nd opinion before doing so. Thanks in advance for your help!

thanks for the vid - the speed settings are a bit confusing too me ( acceleration and such ) i set them watching your generic settings and checking my machine specs but it seems to be moving way to fast - ill look up how to properly set this, where to start a baseline and such. thanks again!

I appreciate your feedback. I will try to do a future video about the speeds. I find it confusing as well.

Thanks for this, I already did it and I don´t know what is wrong with my printer or is it Gcode but I can´t get it to print. It does all the prior movements, reaches temperatures but does not start printing. I installed a new Makerbas Nano Robin electronics which is perfectly working with Marlin 2.1.2 and Cura.

I wonder if it is your start code. Can you share it?

hi, I love to see your video, they explain exactly what you need, but can't you make a video how to make thumbnails in orca slicer, I'm completely stuck, works fine in my cura, greetings follow
