X, the blue symbol means clank, so if it says block one clank, it adds a clank block, but if it says +1 clank it instead generates clank, basically simulating you making noise

22:59 You have haste because regen is only a secondary beacon effect and to get it, Tango had to choose a different primary beacon effect. Haste is a primary beacon effect that doesn't give the player any benefit in the dungeon. This allowed Tango to make a card for regen without having to pair it with a beneficial effect like resistance, speed, or jump boost.

Just remember even if your are "bad" you can still have a ton of fun and actually do quite well. For example, Joehills, I mean no disrespect here but he's certainly not the best and dies a lot to really stupid and easily avoidable things, and yet he's still actually up there in the rankings overall and he's still having a blast. So don't let the fact that you are "bad" or your deck is tiny and weak stop you from hunting more and more treasures down in the dungeons depths. Infact now is the perfect time to start grinding away again as Tango recently made the first SEVEN uncommon cards in the Frost Ember Shop always be available for purchase, this is a MASSIVE catch up mechanic and honestly with a little more practice and a little determination you could totally make a great deck and at least compete with the other lower ranking hermits. Ignore the "champions" and their crazy try hard progress. Just get in there and have fun!

Cub is decent as a coach. Etho is a bit better. Pearl, in my opinion, is probably the best coach (and given the amount of time she's spent scouting, mapping, hunting secrets, might have the most in depth knowledge of levels 3 and 4).

Nice runs! Now that i have heard a couple of hermits taking on the role of mentor, i think Grian actually did the best job. He was always communicating, no "you should to this or that" but "you go there and do this" (which makes a big difference). Kinda surprised me because of his generally chaotic nature, but Grian has real leadership skills 🙂

He unlocked more cards when you survive to allow players to catch up so its worth playing more, and you could always stream some runs.

I’m glad you got to experience level 3 and 4, Tangos done such an incredible job. I imagine it’s not as motivating to play when others are so far ahead, I’m kind of looking forward to what Tango comes up with once the phases end. I think it’ll let a lot more hermits play without the pressure of being competitive

The mentor games are overall fun. I hope tango runs a mini tournament based on pairing hermits who dong have strong decks with those who do

In accessibility settings you can adjust the darkness pulsing. I personally turn it down to 3%. Since my eyes aren’t great. Apparently most people can see most of the time with the darkness effect and only intermittently be blind. You seem to be having a similar problem to me. So maybe you should change those accessibility settings.

The hermits probably aren't allowed to change the pulsing. Tango has only ever adjusted it for himself and I'm quite sure that he said on stream that he'd write a rule for the hermits, not to touch those settings.. But I definitely agree that something's not quite right with X's brightness. It might be related to his monitor or his drivers. If I play my games via my nvidia GPU, I can see things way better than my friends can, but if I switch to my onboard graphics (mostly on accident), everything is so much darker and more difficult to see. X barely seemed to be able to see anything in front of him!

As far as decked out goes, I'm sure there are plenty of people who have lost interest in the game at this point (and they can always fast forward past runs), and a few who really care about the competition aspect of the game, but as I mentioned on one of Beef's recent vids (where he was motioning he wasn't running because he was so far behind everyone) I personally (and probably a lot of other people addicted to this game) just enjoy the fun of the game, especially when it's a successful run. Cleo is a great example, because while clearly not as skilled as, say, Etho or Cub or Pearl, you can tell that sometimes even in death she is having a lot of fun (I absolutely love her laugh). And it's not just the game itself. I started Hermitcraft with the beginning of season 7, and for me the best parts have always been the collaborations among the hermits, and decked out (as well as Beef's TCG) have delivered that in spades this season.

Sadly your sounds were low but we were able to hear the cards play still. You were super close X! I'm glad you got to see L 3 and L4! It was so fun to see DO through your eyes and how amazed and excited you were. It's been a long while since we experienced that. After the competitive DO is done I hope you'll want to participate in the games that Tango was going to do like hide n seek or tag and other games. Also some Hermits will go down in groups or with a friend. Cleo wants to go down with Pearl maybe you and Cub can go down. I'm glad you are back. I'm sorry you got sick. its a shame the lava highway trap on level 4 was broken; seeing that thing in action is awesome and its just a super cool obstacle; and it being broken makes it a huge roadblock

Love to see these runs, you may want to adjust your gamma a tiny bit. It's not normal you can't see anything during the light phases of the darkness effect.

By the way, Xisuma, I have one major tip for dealing with Wardens, stay at least 7 blocks away from them horizontally at basically all times. If they can smell you, whether or not you make noise they'll just obliterate you on the spot if you stand next to them for too long. The Wardens in Decked Out are actually substantially harder to deal with than normal due to the lack of space to move around, ordinarily their greatest weakness is wide open spaces where the player can just peace out and go 30 blocks away.

Cub and the others did have the advantage of level 3 being MUCH easier for their initial runs. Only one warden compared to three, and no absolute mess of pressure plates. Great job X! Glad to see you were able to get back into Decked Out after your break :)

Fun Fact: Bedrock's /give command has a thing where you can make given items: unable to leave a player's inventory or be used in crafting, unable to leave a specified slot in your inventory, or be kept on death even with keep inventory off. Imagine what these would do for Decked Out! Too bad Decked Out doesn't work on Bedrock, since recovery compasses don't stack.

I can understand the feeling but it'll be fine, it's the same situation as with TCG. People are playing DO2 less and less. I'm just happy a few hermits are still having fun, remember Tango spent over a year on this. It's such a huge project it would be a waste to only have it running a couple of weeks.
