Hey doc, just wanted to send you some encouragement. I've been a fan since early MindCrack and I've always appreciated your genuine love and dedication to what you do. The other people trying to capitalize on fads who cut corners are not doing what they do because they enjoy doing it, so don't envy them. I think what you do is much more sustainable than constantly worrying about how to find the next popular thing to jump on and cheet your way through. You make millions of people happy and you do that while being a major part of a wholesome community and its obvious you do what you love. Just think how satisfying that simple "bing bong" is. If you pasted that elevator in with world edit then passed it off in a video as if you built it yourself, that sound would be poison to your soul and a constant reminder of your dishonesty. The joy you have now is worth so much more than the easy way out for a quick video turnover.

I feel so validated. At 24:50 Doc starts a clip with saying "ladies and gentlemen" and I add (in my agender mind) "and everyone in between" and Doc repeats it in the video. It feels so nice to be included in the video in the area between.

So many episodes this season where total mind blowers, showing insane game trickery I couldn't even imagine was possible. This one was different. Different in a *very* satisfying way. This was a total mind blower, showing insane game trickery that I knew was possible, but taking what's possible, cranking it up to eleven, deciding eleven is not good enough and going six steps further. This was precision engineering at a scale I'd call enormous if it were half as big. Wow. And in good ol' Doc tradition, that's not enough and we get the other kind of mind blower I wouldn't have imagined as well with the liquid seven segment display. Previous seasons were impressive. This season is a symphony in redstone.

Yo Doc, put some amethyst in that display and you got yourself an LCD! The Purple-Swaggervator is epic, and it is a perfect example of how you can feel the grind even as a viewer. KZbin is about entertainment, but entertainment is (at least to some degree) about respect, both respect for and from your audience. The GOAT commands that respects because it exemplifies the honesty of working towards a goal together and the epic things that can achieve, and I think most viewers can feel that difference in motivation compared to someone who doesn't enjoy the grind and prefers to skip to the end result. Seeing it being done the hard way is so much more rewarding, as long as you enjoy it as much as the rest of us. Keep up the awesome stuff!

Good job Doc! I've built some of my own elevators, though none recently to use the wall and scaffolding instant transmission, and I get your pain. These things aren't done when you design them, building them is half the difficulty. Something I did differently, my elevators had call to floor, and inside the elevator booth were up and down buttons. By having the logic work by having all inputs work by calling all floors above and below, I could compact the call and move functions.

I just learned coding yesterday. Spent a total of 12 hours (throughout the day) learning. I understand the feeling of the GOAT. Today I spent another 8 hours finalizing the project, and tomorrow I’ll spend probably about 3 hours wrapping the mod all nice and pretty for my players. Mush? Yes, my brain was mush yesterday. My friend asked me if I could help him install Optifine, and I said no, if I had to look at one more file, or one more launcher, I am sure I’d have completely been done with the project all together. This wasn’t the first time I’ve done something like this, and it sure won’t be the last. I enjoyed the little experience of coding a mod, I doubt I’d code from scratch again like I did (ok, maybe like, 10 lines were “borrowed”). Also that display is mind-blowing. I was expecting the elevator to be insane, and it’s so above my Redstone knowledge it looks more similar to computer parts than Minecraft Redstone to me. But something so simple like using water to display the number was such a cool idea

When you were showing the pistons moving for the floor display I was confused, trying to puzzle out how the display would work with the "off" parts of the display getting pushed up. When you showed the "1" made of water, my jaw hit the floor. It's such a gorgeous and brilliant way of doing it that I never would have thought of! Definitely gonna have to figure out something to use that concept!
