if you craft the bamboo block into planks you can smelt even more, logs and planks smelt the same amount wich is 1.5 while bamboo smelt 0.25, but this also apply to bamboo blocks, so 9 bamboo smelt 2.25, a bamboo block smelt only 1.5 but if you convert into planks, wich give 2 planks, you can smelt 3 items

X, bamboo planks are twice as efficient as bamboo blocks when used as fuel, and they're even more efficient than smelting the raw bamboo (while bamboo blocks aren't)

more specifically, this is a quote from the minecraft wiki: "As fuel, it is more profitable to use the original bamboo rather than craft into blocks first. The 9 bamboo used to craft 1 bamboo block would produce fuel for 2.25 items, vs. the 1.5 items that a block will smelt. However, if you then craft 1 bamboo block into 2 bamboo planks, those 2 planks combined can smelt 3 items, vs. the 2.25 items that the 9 bamboo used to craft it would smelt."

but, although Mojang considers this a bug to be addressed at "some point:" slabs currently burn as long as planks, technically turning your 1.5 items smelted from each plank into 3 (1 plank=2 slabs.) one should never burn planks while this is still in the game.

I use wood slabs for my furnaces. Because when used for single items you waste less than say with planks, logs or coal etc. But for random single items Bamboo is good too. I use coal etc for bulk smelting needs.

The Aztec temple is great! Feels like a classic build, but made of newer blocks. A good blend of old and new. I see the Bone Mage is still lingering inside you.

Not sure if a lava trap like that would be in good spirit of the challenge though.

I feel like incorporating the water stream at the back of the base and turning it into a sort of internal river might be cool. Also, wouldn't bamboo planks be more efficient for smelting than bamboo blocks?

There was an instant smile on my face when I heard your music as the intro music :D It is certainly refreshing to see a start of the season again. As much as I love the big builds that emerge with time as a season goes on, as a casual player this feels more familiar and somewhat cozy in a way. So I'm all in for you taking a more casual approach. On a sidenote: What also made me happy was this Aztec-Temple-inspired build, as I have a similar project in my single player world right now. Kind of feels like a "Let's build together" project :D

Dont forget that pumpkin farm has slightly better rates when mixed with melons, and now with the Auto-Crafter you can pack down those melon slices automatically.

Having bobby server wide is a good addition. In earlier season bases are pretty close together but felt far away due to not showing in render distance.

I actually really like the choice to pair the expanded tuff palate with the stone brick one - the subtlety of the differences between the two stone types can be brought out between them, while still allowing for a very cohesive look overall that doesn't rely on major contrast in color or texture. Especially with the gentle introduction of moss, since tuff has a very slight greenish tint when put next to the stone. It might just inspire me to give it a shot once 1.21 releases gamewide. Thank you for showing it off!

A little tip since you guys have the auto crafter, make an auto bamboo farm and feed that in to the crafter and then feed that in to your furnaces. What I am waiting for in the next update or more like the prerelease.

About the bamboo smelting, you were smelting the equivalent of logs. Don't forget to craft them into bamboo planks! This will almost double the fuel efficiency. Like the videos, keep up the good work :)

My Minecraft play style is to do a lot of exploring and adventuring so when I find an azalea tree I usually dig down from the base of the tree and place a trap door and ladders and make a underground mini-base to explore the lush cave from.

If youre having issues with Bobby like that, you can try clearing its cache. It will then redownload the chunks from the server. While it should do that automatically whenever you are in range, theres always the potential for corruption of the cache

For the crafter and tuff/copper block datapacks, are those just recipe datapacks? I don't see them listed on Vanilla Tweaks. If the blocks are there, and then you just add the recipe, kind of like how bundles have been this whole time, then that makes a lot of sense and won't break when you update.

You can even turn your skeleton spawner into a stray spawner if you put a powdered snow directly above a spiderweb (and maybe also directly below?) anywhere in your drop shaft. People will wonder why you have so many slow arrows.

If you want some crazy render distance, I would recommend installing distant horizons 2. The saves a snapshot of chunks you have loaded and reduces the render on those chunks so you can always see them despite not actually being loaded
