I just graduated from my bachelor's in industrial design, and i learned a lot of software (not on a pro level tbh more like a low medium) but i can tell that i fell in love with blender,this is perfect for all what is neded in a project vizualization (architectural too) and it's free, easy, and there's lot of people helping on the net. Craig, how do you make it? I thought it was still being developed? I tried to use the GP but really couldn't make it.
@artistCDMJ6 жыл бұрын
When I say "that is a familiar thing for me" I mean in the area of my own use of blender, where I will model a simple object or sculpt something and then use it as a brush image to paint into my canvas, and then paint on top of that so actually taking away the 3d look of it and bringing it back into the look of the painting. I'm sorry if it sounded like I was using GPencil in animation already, as this is an area i still need to explore.

I believe they stated that they want to release at least the beta by Siggraph 2018 which I believe is sometime in August.
@3Rton6 жыл бұрын
They want to have some kind of build ready by Siggraph (for 2.8) that is more "done" than the daily builds we are getting now. Whether that is Release candidate or public beta or whatever I've got no clue. But currently Ton wants to have something "presentable" for Siggraph. Stable release probably won't come before Christmas season or even early next year, though. (Well depending on what you consider "stable")
@Sylfa6 жыл бұрын
They sold some exclusive merchandise to fund the core team to get together this summer to get the beta out around august. It was very successful and they could finance double, maybe triple the duration of stay for the core team. Of course, the team has lives of their own. So while they agreed to go abroad to do a big push for some time (I forgot exactly how long, 2 months?), doubling or tripling that time is probably unrealistic. Hopefully they can make use of the money for speeding up the release some other way. Either way though, it looks likely that they will hit their goal of beta this year. I don't know if they have a goal for release, I heard early next year or late this year to be a tentative goal, but that wasn't even set in sandstone so.
