Thinking of doing these up front for my 2012 road glide. Should an amp power them ?

Philly 3099 definitely!!!! I believe your stock stereo (assuming) is 2 ohms. These are 4 ohms, and respond very well to power. Not totally sure they’ll even fit. But keep in mind, these are not waterproof either. Your speakers are angled up towards the sky. At the very least, you’ll need to buy an adapter ring, speaker cloth and camp dry. In short, there are too many variables to fill, to recommend these without an amp.

Philly 3099 if you’re not going to amplify it, Rockford Fosgate speakers may be best for you.
