Personal responsibility is a big thing with me. I sometimes think modern society does not consider it to be so. But it is important and always will be. Personal responsibility gives you control, it is empowering. You choose your action/behavior, and you accept the outcome. The other road is blame, excuses, and the victim mentality. Good video Tim. Cheers, Mark.

Thanks for sharing this. I have been very bad about convincing myself to not do the things I need to do. But I am getting better at it. Like you say, you have to own it. I appreciate your thoughts. May God continue to bless your efforts

Very good! I'm trying to lose weight right now and I can't agree with you more. My actions got me here now I have to fight my way out. It's hard, of course, but I realized that I want to change more than I want food or to sit on my couch and watch TV/YT. Thanks for the video! Great job!

I have been a big fan of yours for a number of years. I especially like the work you are doing in Africa (for more reasons than that could be conveniently posted on this thread.) I had the privilege of being lucky enough to buy one of your knives. It was a way of living vicariously and hoping that I was able to contribute in some way to your efforts to support and enrich peoples lives. So as I watch your video today I hear a calling to re-engage and become productive again. I have enjoyed time off after being laid-off, but now it is time to return. Thank you for your videos, I look forward to future content. Doug

A lot of things comes down to learning to own your mistakes. Own the excuse, make it better. Admit you screwed up and change it.

Sarin Highwind I love that: "Own the excuse, make it better." Thanks

I learned it at one of my last jobs. People cannot get mad at you if you just own your mistakes. I had co-workers trying to get me fired by promising things to other managers and not telling me to try and get me in trouble with them. I'd just own their mistake and make it my own and fix it, none of the managers ever got mad at me. And if you make major screw ups, which I've been there, just own it and tell them. Leaders like that. Cause they know you are worth your weight in gold when it comes to screwing up at that point. They will spend less time watching you and focus more on others who are actually screwing things up. I teach it to as many people as I can, because it has made a huge difference in my life.

I'll get you that stuff sometime soon. I swear. My situation just went from bad to worse though. =\ Hopefully I get this job today. 5 months of being unemployed finally is catching up. I'm broke. =(
