A collection of, um, classic scenes from the 1979 Dino deLaurentis 'Jaws' ripoff, including the orca's fatal attack on a shark, its outraged roar after bonehead Richard Harris kills its wife and unborn child, and its attack on a hapless Bo Derek.

It's miscarriage not give birth. If the female gave birth the calf would've been developed already but the female got a miscarriage due to her injuries which led to an undeveloped fetus, not a fully developed calf. You can tell cause the fins and tail are not form yet like how the orcas are supposed too and the fetus flesh has no colour pigment like that of how orcas should look like.

I saw this film once when I was a kid and it scared the hell outta me. But after twenty years, I now see and understand it in a new perspective. It goes to show that man and nature aren't that different or disconnected as most believe. Mamels like Orca's are highly intelligent, and they'll act out in ways that most will find unpredictable and uncertainty, just like how a number of humans would. And if you taken or killed something precious to them like a loved one and their freedom, just like humans, sometimes nature will take things very personally. And it won't stop until their justice is served.

Brody would have no reason to kill this Orca. Jaws is terrorizing the Beach on purpose, thus giving him a reason to kill him. This Orca is only after the Whalers because they killed his family, which means Brody has nothing to do with em, in fact, I think he might befriend this Orca if he did met him. They can kill Great Whites easily (Not the one from Jaws 2 because apparently, it's a juvenile and separated from it's pod, making it easy prey for Jaws. I'm talking full grown pods of Orcas. Jaws wouldn't stand a chance, but he might put up a good fight, tho.)

This was one of my favorite movies, saw it like twelve times. What’s depressing about this is that Nolan was offered $25, 000 to capture the bull Orca so that it could be put on display in a marine park. This is a reflection of what has happened in real life with the captive dolphin industry in the past. Around fifty years ago, dolphins and whales were violently captured, some were killed in the process, while the most attractive ones were sent off to parks like SeaWorld. In Taiji, Japan, the same thing is still happening, the fisherman slaughter some of the dolphins, and save the good looking ones to put in marine parks, very disturbing!

If you do, change the bull killer whale to the mother of the killed orca. It turns out that they aren't monogamous and that ant males involved in caring for a calf are most likely the calf's uncle or great-uncle.

Agreed. I remember watching this as a young boy in 1980. The heart that Sir Richard Harris and Charlotte Rampling brought is what held this movie together. It’s impossible for me to watch this movie objectively. I’m to attached to it emotionally. Between this and The Warriors and An American Werewolf in London. I will hear no blasphemy spoken of all 3.

I help my aunt at a killer whale rescue sight and I have swam with these massive sweet hearts and I am only thirt teen. They only become aggressive if their life has been ruined. Humans would do the same thing if some one was rude and cruel to them they would become aggressive and be mean back. So don't blame the the whales it is freakin humans who thought it would be a good idea to cage and kill orcas. They are like us they have a soul mate and if they lose them they are devastated and will seek revenge on they person who took their love away. So shut up every one that is saying orcas are mean and vilont because you would do the same thing if you were an orca . Orcas deserve better than sea world and cages they deserve freedom like us and they are nothing but sweet hearts!

Orca are not monogamous. Male orca stay with their mothers and only leave her to mate and then they come back to their mothers. Males don't find a soul mate and swim around in marital bliss living happily ever after, they just make sexy time then go back to mom. Males are so attached to their moms if she dies they will usually die soon after. Read a book and stop anthropomorphizing an animal. Orca pods are made up of a matriarch and her family line, they prevent inbreeding by mating with males from other pods sometimes at gatherings called superpods.

I was rooting for the Orca, but when I saw the man's flashback, I felt bad for both. Sure, the Orca killed innocent people, but they were the people that the man knew, just like the Orca knew its mate and unborn/undeveloped calf. When I saw how the film ended, I was traumatized and depressed. But since the man and the animal died, each one as a soul(since every living thing has a soul) can meet their family. The Orca went with its mate and undeveloped calf and the man went with his wife and unborn child, in a sense, it was a happy ending that tells and shows us a good lesson in life. Also, Orca isn't really a rip-off of Jaws given that Orca tells a moral lesson and Jaws is your average horror flick.
@christianchacon3702
@christianchacon3702 4 жыл бұрын
Jaws definitely had some moral lessons in it: critiques of consumerism, an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind, etc. only the first jaws actually had this btw the rest of the sequels are exactly as you said just horror flicks for cash

I saw this in the theater when I was 9 years old. I sobbed from almost the very beginning, and lost it once that calf was born. I was rooting for the Orca in this film until the very end. If I remember correctly, the Orca went and committed suicide after killing Nolan. It's truly an emotional movie, especially if you're one who tends to cry over sad movies.

@@bertatafel1938 well, that is very very good advice & I saw a video of a woman casually swimming & about 3 or 4 Orcas politely escorted her to the shore & I was like 🥰🙏🏾 I wanna try, I wanna try lol 😂 & apparently humans are not on their menu as food items, and I have watched multiple videos of Orcas actually being friendly or should I say curious at humans and the only fatalities where they actually attacked people was at SeaWorld, and maybe they never got the understanding of the Movie called Free Willy 😳
