Even though I’m primarily a Liverpool fan, I like to keep an eye on Wrexham just because of how cool their story is obviously they got kind of handled today, but it was against a much much superior team and they still kept it close. I definitely think they have a really good chance of a third consecutive promotion

Three of the goals were All the fault of Wrexham defenders who sucked, scored and on goal, didn't mark their men and follow up and left their keeper (Burton - who played well)) out to dry.

Agree with the comments here that is more important than cups..... buuut cup wins can also get the club a lot more $$. The owners are rich but not Premier league rich. Having extra spending $$ be the biggest roadblock in promotion beyond League One (Championship, Premier).

That goal by Sheffield was blocked at the goal line. Remember, the ball must be all the way over. Without VAR--it is hard to be certain--the referee apologized to Parky after the game. Wrexham also missed some very good chances. The score may be 4-2, but I would not say Wrexham were out of the game--it could have gone differently. Wrexham were definitely competitive against an upper half Championship team.

Burton is a MUCH Better Keeper then Okonkwo, who often doesn't come out of the net (when he should) to win the ball (via crosses) and/or to make the save; seems Okonkwo is afraid to get hurt - if he's afraid to get hurt let him go bake cookies with mom; instead of playing football.

@@gshoots4357 I'm very qualified, played at a high level including against world class and World Cup, players. Though my playing days are over, I'm very experienced and know and understand (the Real and Best) Football (aka soccer), well. And, just cause the coaching staff and the owners are giving Okonkwo a chance and the benefit of the doubt; doesn't mean he's a good keeper at this level (it means he has potential; that he's not living up to). If the coaching staff really want to help Okonkwo, then help him get over his fear of getting hit and hurt again and also make Okonkwo earn his starting position by giving Burton an Equal chance and "shot" at it. i saw no fear in Burtons play ( and you can't have fear and be afraid to get hit and hurt as keeper) but I've consistently seen indecision and fear (of getting hit and hurt again) in Okonkwo play, all last season and starting this season. I want Wrexham to do well but just giving them "hugs and kisses" when they keep repeating the same mistakes/screwups over and over again isn't going to help them do such and get better. This is Professional Football, not youth soccer where mom and dad wipes of and kisses your "boo boo's" and tell you everything is alright, just to make you feel better. Broken bones and injuries (and I've had my share of both) are part of contact sports; if you're afraid to get hurt then go bake cookies with mom!

To be fair he did crack his entire jaw last year so I would say it's a good fear, plus sometimes it's just prudent to not leave the goal area, if other teams scored because he'd left the goal box we'd all be complaining about that.

@@adaoraelliott9254 - fear is Never "good", fear always holds you back and keeps you a prisoner, a slave and in bondage of and to it, if you allow it to. Fear is also and illusion, that takes place in ones mind about things that may or may not happen and in doing such many times one makes such come true. a person cannot and does not Truly Live in fear but merely Exists (via fear). As I previously said, I've definitely had my share of broken bones and injuries ( I was a "clean" but very physical player); including (but not only) having my nose broken (multiple times), my cheek bone broken w/ a fractured eye orbital and more. So I can understand Okonkwo possibly being a bit "reserved" for a short time afterwards but you can't stay that way if you want to continue to be your best and doing your best for the team. As I said above, the coaching staff need to help him (Okonkwo) get over such; including possible counseling. And, if Okonkwo gets past his fear(s), he will find he's far better and stronger for it then he was before (and that's true for All "the People" (Humanity Globally). And Burton deserves his fair shot at the starting position,

So both teams rotated their whole team and didn't really care about the game results, just wanted to rotate and run some legs, game was good then for both teams as there were 6 goals in total. Win or lose I'm sure the gaffers learnt a lot about their players
