I looooooove it when a recipe's text unfolds on the screen and with each addition popping up, with ever-widening eyes, I go 'YES! I have that in the cupboard!' I'm making this on Saturday for dinner! All I have to buy is the tofu. Sadly, the fantastic Korean imported tofu is not available locally to me here in England so I'll find a way to work with the rather grim English made stuff. Your sauce here looks like it will zhoosh it up beautifully. Thanks again Helen, this looks so delicious I can't wait! 😋🤤🍜

@@ModernPepper I just finished eating this and it was DELICIOUS. The very small drizzle of sesame oil is KEY. And so is the addition of kimchi as a side (home made, following YOUR recipe of course). I ate it with danmuji and crunchy refreshing cucumber as a side. My husband loved the onions as to him they were 'smoky' in flavour profile. Ten out of ten Helen, thank you! I have your jujube tea paste in the freezer so we'll have that tea before bed with a biscuit☺😋 🥇👍.

Tofu is Chinese food. NOT KOREAN.
@ModernPepper5 ай бұрын
@@sara.cbc92 Hi 👋 Chinese tofu is totally different er from Korean tofu. Chinese tofu also incorporates eggs, which Korean do not. Chinese also ferment the tofu, which is a delicacy. Korean do not ferment our tofu. Korean also make you in 4 ways, silken, semi-soft, semi-firm, and extra firm. FYI - There are many foods/ingredients that are familiar/similar among Asian countries. Just like tofu, one cannot say that because Chinese eat rice, that rice is Chinese-only. Korean have 200+ rice grains that are unique to Korean agricultures . Tofu has been in our Korean history dating back to ou Koryo dynasty. Tofu in Korean is called DuBu.
