Dubu jorim is a popular tofu dish that’s braised in a simple soy sauce-based sauce. With this recipe, you can easily turn your tofu into a flavorful side dish. The gochugaru (Korean red chili pepper flakes) adds a little spicy kick. You can adjust to your taste by adding less or more. Dubu jorim is delicious, warm or cold. You’ll find that the tofu tastes even better the next day.

Ingredients:
1 pack firm tofu (14-16 oz)
2 scallions (1 if large)
1 teaspoon minced garlic
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon gochugaru (Korean red chili pepper flakes)
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon vegetable/canola oil

this recipe is just simply perfect. there are so many recipes out there, it's honestly info overload. i keep coming back to bapsang because the recipes turn out exactly as promised, and easy to follow. guys simplify your life and just follow bapsang. and no, i was not paid to say this. i'm just a huge fan.

I precut the scallions (green onions) into small pieces. Can you advise how to keep them in the fridge for a longer lasting? To keep them in a ziplock bag with a paper towel, should the paper towel be a bit wet or dry? Thank you for your wonderful video!

You can eat cold or warm. It's a matter of preference. Yes it can be quickly heat up in the microwave.

Yes you can use a little bit of gochujang. You may need to reduce the amount of soy sauce since gochujang also adds saltiness.

These are relatively thin slices and the sauce penetrates pretty well during the short braising. Your entire bite will be delicious!

Tofu sounds like Chinese food, not korean, soy sauce was also originated in China. Isn’t kimchi the only authentic korean food?
