To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand The Bible. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Jesus’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike The Bible truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in God’s existential catchphrase "Never trust anyone completely but God." which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as King James's genius wit unfolds itself on the pages. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Bible tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

i agree, don't go up to a woman saying "you have beautiful eyes" etc. i think Michael did great because, well a) it's a dating show and b) he complimented something innocuous like her nails to start, which is a better compliment because you're also complimenting the person's fashion/taste which is something they have control over. (and complimenting their ability to do their nails, if they did it themselves.) then you can escalate to strictly-physical-appearance compliments later. but i think, early on, lead with compliments that are nicer towards someone's accomplishments or style. that's my personal opinion/advice anyway, feel free to disagree!
@painunending4610 Жыл бұрын

That's just what the rules incentivise. The first chance is after just 5 seconds or something and if you aren't the first to press the button, you're out - smashing it the first chance you get is the only logical conclusion if you want to get ahead, is it not? In anything, including religion, the most dogmatic people who can't question their position or get very agitated and try to shut you down the moment you do are that way because they're insecure over it. They fear losing their position and have a lot of doubts or little genuine reasoning for it so they filter any alternate possibilities out, refusing to think or argue about it, often just restating it with more anger and condemnation when forced to. In a way it makes them come off as more confident or even certain because their cope refusal to consider the ways they could be wrong almost becomes an invincible and aggressive confidence, always seeking validation and attacking any other view without truly addressing them. It's hard to change their mind because they dismiss anything that could, their insecurity and genuine uncertainty but need of maintaining the belief has them believe it axiomatically.

I forget if Vaush or another comment pointed out, that he could've streamlined the whole process by just straight up asking their denomination if they have one. Like he acted chuffed when that one girl asked him to elaborate on his interest in theology, as if it should've been obvious he specifically meant christian Theology. But theology is just the study of religion not necessarily the abrahamic faiths. It was perfectly reasonable for her to ask.

@Logan_Star_69 First it’s not hypocritical on my end. Second, I never said, “I want it to cease existing.” I just said it is stupid. It’s okay to like/acknowledge stupid things (like entertainment) and still support its existence. It’s like when someone says, “it’s so bad it’s good”, or when someone says, “this is my guiltily pleasure.” I acknowledge that the product has flaws and is silly in a dumb way- but if given the opportunity I would participate in some dumb fun where I get to attempt to juke people at pressing a button. While still being fully aware to not actually expect a relationship/date out of it.

In Illuminatus! trilogy, post-ressurection Jesus is actually Malaclypse the Elder, priest of Melchizedek and Erisian priest who tries to fix things after Jesus fucked them up and also introduces Bingo into the Church.

This guy should *not* be allowed to hold his arms up on the table like that. It's basically cheating.

Fun fact, Yahweh was the ancient Canaanite god of creation and metallurgy, and traces of this mythology survived all the way into the New testament. When Yahweh created man he gave them a metal only they had the power to wield, that metal being iron. This is why when God placed himself in the Arc of the Covenant, the marauders riding iron chariots were immune to the power of God, and it's why in the Book of Revelations Jesus returns with an iron rod. Because since Jesus is a man, he can wield iron, unlike God or Satan, and it's the only thing in creation that can kill Satan... which also implies iron is capable of killing God as well.

What other kinds of animals can yield any kind of metal??

It's interesting how a lot of mythology ties types of metals to weaknesses. Like iron is supposed to be a weakness for fae too, and silver is considered a "pure" metal which is why it's a weakness for vampires and werewolves. Mirrors also used to be backed with silver which I'm pretty sure is why "vampires can't be seen in them". Metal and specific plants, like wolfsbane and garlic

Thats not nessisarily correct. The correct pronounciation is Ehyeh and its the hebrew word for I am. Or I exist. It would be weird for the etimology of the hebrew word for I exist, to be the caananite god of metalurgy.

It seems like such a childish concept. Start a conversation with someone, then hit the buzzer to cut them off and feel validation. You could be the biggest loser and buzz an absolutely wonderful people just to feel important like you rejected a 10 out of 10

Hank dresses more like a mafia boss rather than a standard off duty cop. It’s still considered a polo shirt even if it’s a fill button up. Because it’s the polo collar that is what makes it a polo shirt.

Agree the green polo looks nice on that dude. I’d usually also be anti polo but dating an Asian man, polos are still pretty common for Asian men in other countries and In America to wear polos for nice events. I mean still I suppose white guys wear polos too but there’s a line between douchey and looking genuinely nice. But olive/dark green is always a nice choice. Also holy fuck that couples energy is super refreshing. A little awkward but they hit it on pretty instantly. Really gives the perspective of a nice man in an honest relationship vs an incel.

Polos are also required wear at a lot of snooty golf courses.

So to explain the game, from what I saw, when the button flashes red, either person can press it. Whoever presses it first stays while the other is forced off. This game doesn’t really incentivize pettiness, per se, but simply pressing the button first as a cause in itself. Well technically it should incentivize the first two people to just sit there for 10 minutes and not even think of the button. If a person across from you has shown they are engaging in that strategy, your best move is to follow along. If not, it’s very VERY likely someone will press the button against you just cause they realize you aren’t going by that strat.

If either player suspects they are about to be rejected, they try to slam the button first. It's not that hard to figure out. If you reject the other person, you still stand a chance at that second date all expenses paid XD
