I immediately knew it as soon as you played the first 911 call you could hear that was a cry of remorseful regret You could hear that he was already regretting that he killed his wife or soon to be ex-wife But it was definitely a cry of remorse filed regret because he’s a dummy and took it too far But it’s definitely had that fake tone but not completely fake It’s more of regret But has a fake tone to it because it’s not the right kind of cry for what He’s supposedly supposed to be going through If it was true to his story that is

I feel like if they’d followed the Reid Technique of interrogation it might have worked better than an immediate direct confrontation. Built rapport, gently confront the inconsistencies, pose the alternative question and so forth. People are more likely to shut down if you don’t establish rapport and then go in on confronting them. At the same time, he deserved to be confronted with the evidence and it’s satisfying to see.

She’s a dreadful and ineffective interrogator. She just dives right in with the accusations immediately. She doesn’t even try to establish a rapport, doesn’t ask him for his version of events first to lock him into a lie, she doesn’t slowly introduce evidence over the course of the interrogation, etc. She just goes right for the jugular. And, predictably, he shuts down and ends up walking out of there free (temporarily). Useless. Useless waste of everybody’s time.

Hey Mike, thanks for the video. And what a case. From the moment he put the house in trust in his and his mother's name, that's a red flag. Why did Shanti agree to foot the money to renovate, when he was on and on about his wealth?? I mean, US$6m, 600k on a house, you don't have the means to fund the renovation that was YOUR idea? Shanti's running her business from a one-bed on the property, while renovations are going on, and they are not because the one person whose idea it was is falling out with contractors, while NOT working. Then there's the ridiculous idea of having the renovations shown on TV, so a whole camera crew is involved. Shanti had enough, so did David. Why did he kill her? She must have had a row with him, one of several, and showed she was leaving or taking action against him, meaning no more funding, and potentially losing the house he wanted so much. How killing her would solve the matter, well, that's David's thinking. Probably sell up the house at a loss, cashing in instead on Shanti's life insurance policies. But thankfully, he was a lousy actor, with the injuries on Shanti not matching with the versions he came up with, partially or fully. Being the only person in the house, clearly he had to be at fault, and then coming up with the house being burgled, was laughable. Her son and former husband were right, Tronnes is a parasite and is where he should be. And you were right too, Mike - the man had an appetite for bathhouses, he's got a whole main course coming up for life.

What a sad ending for Shanti, a single mom who seemed like a genuinely good, hard working, trusting woman. Nowadays, I believe if you meet someone online, it is wise to do a thorough background check on them without letting them know. Also, while we don’t know exactly what happened the day Shanti lost her life to this sicko, no one, but particularly a woman, should ever let their spouse/partner know they are leaving them, for any reason, let alone something really scary like this guy was living (his double life, the financial lies, etc.) while still living under the same roof as the person you have decided to leave. Get out and get to a safe house. Then, either notify the person you’re leaving by phone call, or, better yet, let your attorney give notification. There’s no guarantee the person you’re leaving, particularly one as disturbed and duplicitous as this monster, won’t come after you, but it gives you a fighting chance. My heart aches for her son. R.I.P, lovely mother. 🙏

@@TheRealEMURSE Well, I suppose there is really no totally pain-free way of notifying one’s spouse that you want a divorce, even under the best of circumstances. It does seem like that police interaction was entirely inappropriate, and I'm guessing the body cam would probably be embarrassing for them in hindsight... Knowing now that she was in a fragile state of mental health, and then bashing in her window. I hope she's okay and that those police learn to take a different approach.

The first i heard of this case was when i watched a couple videos of his calls from jail to his elderly mother. The way he talks to her is awful. Now, after watching this interrogation and hearing the condition that poor woman was in when they found her. I am even more appalled at what a vile person he is. I loved it when the female detective called him out on his fake crying. He is disgusting.
