So true, had a man act like this towards me - he pulled away, & i had just had enough. He came back, told me "he didnt think he was relationship material" and then asked me what i wanted to do and if i wanted to continue. I said "i'm ready to let you go now" - he asked if we could still stay friends, and i refused. Deleted his number, unfriended him off my social media and have moved forward with my life & it feels great to be honest. Life is too short to be wasting time on anyone who doesnt value you.

Yeah it's true thanks Caroline and thanks Helena. If this is worth saving then he needs to start showing it. Love him to bits but I don't want to wait months and years that's not fair on me. I know in myself I'm a rare woman and women like that don't come by very often anymore. I'd make so much effort, I really would. It's very hard, I am one of those women that's for keeps and marriage material. Just saying. Anyway this has helped me thanks. I'll look out for his actions thanks Helena.

I've been stuck on someone for nearly 3 years. We had quite a casual relationship but he influenced me alot and im glad I met him. The chemistry was amazing. Now he's met a new woman 18 years younger than me. This video really struck a chord for me. I'm having to let him go now. I know he never promised me anything but he had so many great qualities.

Great video! I've taught others to love themselves & be kind to themselves but I easily fell into the trap of accepting breadcrumbs & excuses. That was in the not so distant past. NOW I'm in a better headspace SPIRITUALLY & GROWING STRONGER every moment/day. Going back to the basics & starting to see/meet men who are INDEED DECENT & REAL out there, willing/ wanting me for me.

Yep 💯 have experienced this recently with a guy. So tired of it, something feels off and it doesn’t feel good. I have lost interest and my desire to make any effort for him. Realizing I had him on a pedestal he did not deserve to be on. If he doesn’t see my value and make efforts too, it’s not my problem. It never seems enough for him, so not worth my efforts anymore. It was making me feel insecure and anxious. Next! ❤ Thank you 🙏 😊 Also, what do I say when he breadcrumbs me again? I kinda don’t even want to bother answering at all.
@KimJilene

I am in the EXACT same situation. A 3 year situationship that has gone NOWHERE. I have completely lost interest in him as well. He showed me who he was for years, and even told me many times he does not want a relationship - yet I stubbornly ignored him, wishing and hoping he would change his mind. When I had a mental breakdown due to many things blowing up in my life, he deliberately distanced himself from me and told me I was “draining” - that was the nail in the coffin for me. If he can’t hold space for me at my worst, he cannot have me at my best! Now I am mirroring his distant behaviour and moving forward with my life. I am now just watching this ship sail away, and waving goodbye 👋🏾

Are you really going to wait until he bread crumbs you again? There’s no reason that you can’t block him on your cell phone. Denying him access to you is the first step in getting your power and respect back. If he wants to get in touch with your he will find another way. I’m speaking from experience, so please don’t think I’m being rude or hard on you. I think you want something to blow up in your face before you call it quits but you’re suffering and it’s going to hurt worse when you see him or find out that he’s with the person he really wants a committed relationship with. Sorry to break it to you, men don’t behave iffy to women that they really want. It’s no reflection on you just move forward and have fun with your friends, family and self love journey. I hope you enjoy life with people who value your presence, you are precious ❤️

@@Happiest2love2024 yep I blocked him. He reached out after weeks of not hearing from him and his message was weak and low efforts, he asked how I was and I said good how are you, but then he left me hanging and didn’t answer for days, only to tell me about his new girlfriend he’s enjoying his time with but isn’t sure about or if it’s long term. I’m not playing those games. So blocked him. Thanks:)

After watching your video, i realise that i am truly wasting my time with this individual. I have deleted all his msgs from 2017 to date...I am walking away especially because he is also 15 yrs older than me as well...Like seriously,...What the hell was i smoking...seriously...I don't even smoke nor drink at all. I don't want an old man for a husband...never even thought of the age difference that much until just now. Thank you Lord for using this beautiful lady to channel your answer to my prayers about this man whom i have totally adored from 2017. I am going to obey you Lord and walk away from him! I totally understand this, and am actively working to get a guy like this out of my life. I've been quantum dating, and at this point, something in me feels disgusted by his behavior because I know hes aware I've had feelings for him, but even though I'm creating more distance from him, he keeps finding reasons (getting family & friends to buy things from my business) to come into my life. What is something I can say to him in a feminine way, to get him to disappear for good or keep his distance? I dont need to block him, especially since hes a family friend and we are not exactly on "bad terms" per se...

I don’t know if this is answer your looking for but a vague idea. Maybe only respond politely bland to any of his advances. Give no energetic validation or flattery. Be disinterested but offer bare minimum towards him in general. Hopefully not the type that will see it as a challenge to win you over. Like a game to make you think you’re actually missing out. To try to prove that you were wrong about him being of disinterest to you. Most likely though he will fade away from pursuing or approaching you. Then he will be less and less attempting any bites taken from drawing you in when his tactics won’t even get him a nibble.

Hi Helena! Sorry I am commenting on every video, I have been having a Helena marathon this week! I was basically very critical of my man and blaming him for making me upset after not doing something I wanted. Now he has been silent (without telling me he was taking space) and it’s been over a week now (we used to talk daily). I am wondering if I should let him pull away and be receptive to him if he comes back, or if him going silent on me is emotionally abusive and if I should just consider that a dealbreaker and something my husband wouldn’t do? I am really torn between being really mad about it and thinking it’s not okay, but also thinking maybe he just needs space. There is also the chance that he never comes back, I guess, but it doesn’t seem like him.
@Regina.Clarke
@Regina.Clarke Жыл бұрын
If you were very critical and it didn’t come off right, let him have his space and take time to self reflect to understand why you reacted the way you did. WHEN he comes back, you will be in a good space to discuss this and the way you communicated previously. When he comes back, you don’t want to be harsh again. As a side note, make sure you aren’t being harder in yourself then needed. If you weren’t as bad as you state, maybe it’s something else.

Thanks Helena, always enjoy your podcasts! I have a guy who does contact me daily and we laugh and talk, share stories, but when we got talking about marriage he said he wasn't a candidate for marriage, it was deflating for me because we love each other, and I had hoped it was the direction the relationship would go! We are in a long distance relationship, but he comes and sees me every 5 or 6 weeks, I am crazy about him, what should I do, but this declaration he has made?

Same question; avoidant attachment affects their capabilities in a relationship rather than being intentional. But even then, subjecting oneself to this behaviour can be exceptionally difficult, and to question whether or not to do so. Having spent the last 18 months with a DA, things getting better, breaking up, back together, same old patterns........never, never again. I gave it my all, fully supportive of him, learning everything I can regarding attachment. I'm done.....wish him well in every way, but I'm done

I agree - I’d first ask yourself whether or not this situation feels good and is in alignment with what you truly want in a relationship. I think it is easy to think that he might get better with the depression and then become more consistent or find a more stable situation in life- but actually that's all a bit of an illusion I fell into- it is a real easy trap because genuinely he had real issues, but I think if he had wanted a relationship really - he would have kept in touch consistently. Or just left me and seen a doctor rather than stringing me along.

I know he'll come around..Everything goes as it should be for the last six months when dating. If not, well ... Then he isn't man enough as he portraits himself to be. But unfortunately it isn't that black and white. He's been good to me, kind, a gentleman, caring. He's going to stuff he has to figure out for himself. Making him feel less of a man, especially torch me, because of his situation. He knows how I feel about him and us, showed it enough times. It's now up to him.

Yes, men typically know right away whether or not they’re interested in pursuing you for something serious - and texting for years means nothing unless a man is showing you with his consistent ACTIONS that he’s serious about you and ready to move things forward. My husband and I talked more about that in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXWWaHSGfLSsbrs …and these ones might also be helpful for future reference: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmGwl6pqqcemm9k and kzbin.infoCuWhh-DnLJY?feature=share.
