I am not a Nigerian but I distinctly recall the sense of relief and near euphoria I experienced at his demise. Now, I hear many voices here praising the tyrant. I am not shocked. It is an old human foible to romanticize the virtues and goodness of the dead. Recently, I came across a similar story on KZbin about Abacha's alter ego in Uganda, Gen Iddi Amin Dada. Many Ugandans felt his reign was the best ever in the country's history. Again, I was unsurprised. I understand these things; the unending human urge to convert despots and evil people into saints. I do not begrudge them.

I don't know all the events of June 8th 1998, but IMO, Major Al-Mustapha (rtd.) displayed professionalism, patriotism, courage and selflessness to handle things the way he did that day. He could have decided to seize power, execute all his seniors in the army and thereby, lead the country into very serious chaos. I thank him. I may be wrong, but could it be that Abacha suffured some degree of radiation poisioning via a handshake with one of the members of Yasser Arafat's entourage?

The lawlessness at the time was appalling. I noticed in 1995 at the Ikeja airport. The evidence could be seen at the airport that one had to go thru 19 checkpoints before getting on the plane . Every point a bribe was needed to go through. I paid up a few until I ran out of cash and started telling those officials I had already paid and was out of cash. In my street many of us who were ardent international politics followers cried like babies. I was sure we were going back to slavery with his death and that real enemies of the country would take over. Twice I have predicted doom for Nigeria twice it happened. When Abacha died I told people that it will take us at least 20 years to earn the respect a Nigerian passport holder had under Abacha or bring back sanity that he tried to instilled into our society. The moment he died we lost Bakasi peninsula, Free medical treatment stopped. PTF fund ended. Terrorist thrived and Nigerian passport become useless. The second time I made similar prediction was in 2015 election. I told people that a vote to Buhari was a vote to 20 years backwardness. The rest is history.

Well, on the question of the type of injection, we can only know that if the doctor had spoken. But, ethically he can't speak on that, I suppose. I personally changed my view of Al Mustapha after researching and making this video. He did well on this day. But based on the research I'm currently working on, particularly about Jerry Useni, and how the people in power betrayed him as the most senior officer after Abacha. This video is all about Mustafar and not Abacha. You shower praises on someone who supervised the killings of notable Nigerians from the southern part because he want their regime to be forever, and no criticism is welcomed. Shame on you
@HispleMedia5 ай бұрын
Hello, I didn't shower praises on Mustapha. Besides, you can not talk about Abacha's day without prominently featuring almustapha. What we did is analyse Abacha's last 24 hours and I'm sure you expect Mustapha to do alot to protect his principal. No matter how wicked he may have been, it wasn't on this day. Don't you worry, our up coming video crystallizes all that was wrong with the Abacha regime... The is coming up around weekend. Kindly subscribe and turn on the bell notification so you will not miss this update. Thank you for watching...

Some of the footage s used are not actually from the scenes but portray the action being talked about... So if airpeace is used then the editor used it to actions that talk about airplane. However, it may have gone unnoticed. Thanks for watching

al mustapha made a very grave mistake, he would have taken over power, been the closest person to abacha...

All this Nigeria journalist have not been fair to abacha...u guys always find it cool to call hm all sort of names which has no any base or even reflectd to his character and style of leadership...wats meaning of all this nonsense name calling by our journalists ..it's high time you people stop all this ... which one is tyrant again?? Is the dictator not ok for u...as if he is not just a mare military head of State just like his predecesors
@HispleMedia7 ай бұрын
That is how we whitewash Buhari despite his failures of the 80s and came back to almost bury Nigeria again. No! It's not only southern leaders that must be called out. Abacha was a Dictator and tyrant whose stollen money is still being recovered to this day. What are you saying!! Thank you for watching though.

@@HispleMediafirst off.. if you r still among those who believe the so call invented lies of abacha loot was true then u still have long way to go , secondly please kindly define tyrant for me and also relate it to abachas behavior and the people he killed tyrannically!!

I don't share your view of calling our respected head of state a tyrant & your report of wide jubilations at his death is equally a disrespectful fallacy not worthy of presentation on such general platform. You must desist from sending biased & jaundiced reportage on the net!

May be you are very young and could not witness what happened when Abacha died. At least I witnessed the moment. I joined the celebration, though I didn't understand why I was celebrating the death of leader at that time. I joined because my uncle who told us about his death was celebrating it. Thank you for watching ♥️♥️
