Hobie Outback with Minn Kota

How did u put trolling motor in the hole , I have a 30 pound minn Kota and i can't even get that sucker to fit in... I'm sure the 40 lbs is much larger then the 30 Lbs, that's if they made the 2017 hole Larger then the 2016

Brother this is really cool what you did to your Hobie to add a trolling motor. Lookin’ into doin’ the same to my Hobie. What did you use to mount it in where your peddle goes into? That’s neat what you did.

Now that you have tried both, would you go with the Minn Kota or the Watersnake? I am looking for one for my 2015 Outback but also looking to buy a PA 12 in the next 6 months and would be getting the standard/180 drive not the 360. Did you try steering with the Minn Kota? I noticed the Watersnake was fixed in place so rudder only. Would love to buy a mount off you.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqupYnqwgdmkmKc No need to steer with the motor as the large size rudder option does a great job of steering. Where abouts on the planet do you live?? Also, see my other videos on the Compass Mount because the Minn Kota would definitely NOT fit. The hole is smaller in the compass.

Yep, have watched all your videos on the motors today hence the question about the earlier mirage drive . I think you said the 40lb will work in the early ones but was just double checking. I’m on the Sunny Coast.
