oh, just love these local festivals with cryptid or other local stuff. They are pure, friendly, nice and extremely good to return one's attention to the love and basics of a community or a family, taking your mind away from the larger media stuff out there. So, today learned all about the hodag and some of his other friends, and how they even pranked the Smithsonian. Thanks for taking us along Mr. Carpetbagger!

I lived in Rhinelander and Sugar Camp. Graduated from Rhinelander High school in 1972. Rhinelander is a nice town. Worked for the Pied Piper, then moved to Texas to go to college where I continue to live. But I have many fond memories including the Hodag. Oneida County Courthouse is the most beautiful one I've seen. Love the Tiffany glass dome. Beautiful.

If you’re in Wisconsin you should come to Epic in Verona. It’s a huge campus, with themed buildings such as Harry Potter, Charlie and the chocolate factory, Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, etc.

There is a superb art museum in Nashville, TN. It is a wonderful replica of the Parthenon in Greece...with a brilliant statue of Athena. My husband and I visited a few years ago...and well worth the tour!! Please consider it! Sincerely.
