Note: If you experience issues with the game map after using the nudge tool clear the following folders: Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\map And Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\history Changes done in the nudge tool are firstly written into these folders and these changes will affect the base game even if you disable all mods.

How do I fix having a missing state and the nudge tool crashing as soon as I press the state button?

how do i undo nudge changes? like i renamed a state and i want to change it back.

@@kenzosuzukii Just as explained above, if you renamed the state via the Nudge tool a localisation folder will be created with the change, delete that folder and it will revert back.

This was an absolute lifesaver after I messed up the states with the nudge tool and couldn’t figure out how to reset them especially considering the game wouldn’t load anymore. Thank you so much

However, I still can't figure out why when I edit the borders of provinces and strategic regions in the TNO mod, when I save the changes, the mod crashes to the desktop. @@РадомирРодович When changing a mod you should ask the developers of the mod... They are the only one's who know what changes they made to the game... Asking anyone else is pure speculation.

It's a LOT of work. I tried to add few more islands to the existing map, and it was crazy complicated, not that it won't work but making a wholly new one is a colossal task... it's a tremendously time and energy consuming and consequently fun challenge, Good luck with it...

@@Cat_DeGaulle I doubt you need it but what works for me, is once you are done altering the state alt f4 and drag the state you edited from paradox/heartsofiron4/history/states. into your mod history/states folder.

Very late reply but if you want a fix for this use the Unit Stacks auto generator in the nudge tool, that'll fix it :)

Reminds me about the time I used nudge to make a new state one if your following tutorials and I couldn’t use hoi4 for I think a year before I deleted the cache.

bout a week ago I accedently deleted the localisation for a finnish state with the nudge tool and it messed all my states names up. It wasn't till I watched this, that I thought to check the documents folder. Fixed the issue immediatly.

So when i 1st used the Nudge tool i thought the "Units" button placed down your starting units but i was wrong. How do u set a countries starting units & unit type/amount/position?

I have problems with debug mode, an empty notepad pops up with the error "The system could not find the specified path", there is no Cyrillic alphabet on the way to the logs, I demolished the game cleanly, checked the integrity of the files, the error remained, I also demolished the mods, I do not know what to do. there is no answer on the forums, help

Are you able to mod tactics, create new ones, and specifically can I make a tactic affect a particular unit type. For example a tactic that improves infantries piercing or hard attack or anything like that. Thanks

how do you reset everything in debug mode? i tried doing stuff and loaded the game and it crashed. i reboot the game and it says the map failed to load. i removed everything i made and it still didnt work. all of the states names are broken

Hey, whenever I click "Supply Areas" in the nudger tool nothing happens. Like I do not get the supply area interface that is shown in the video. All the other buttons work fine.

That's fine, supply areas are no longer active in Nudge, you add them by adding supply hubs and rails... See a video on this topic.

@@TheIronWorkshop Thanks for the response! Another (hopefully final) question: whenever I create a state, instead of becomming 2 seperate states, the new state is added on top of the existing one. So in the files it says that the same provinces belong to 2 different states. Any ideas?

I messed it completly up. looks like it changed the state tool inside of the hoi4 folder. It doesnt even help to redowload the game. I get a error log with a lot of GFX errors + " state 909 has no manpower"

Cities = victory points You can change the starting localization by editing the victory points localization file.

Idk maybe im just not good at modding yet, but the game is not making it any easier. As soon as i put the game in debug mode there are instantly like 8 different equipment errors without nudging or changing any files. Theyre all problems with light jets, which are in the equipment graphic database which I cannot find for the life of me, is it in the main game file? The nudging documents file? or is it somehow in my mod folder which I have not changed or edited?

I've mentioned a fix to this in the video. Open Nugge, open the definition.csv file and change it while nudge is open... That should take care of that if your other files are fine.

@@LeXus21251 In that case it means you got some bad files that have improper/wrong code which causes the crash, start over with vanilla files and replace them one by one until you can figure out which one causes the crash.
