Just bought Speedgoat 5. Not worn yet but have had four pairs of Speedgoat 4s and used for multiple Ultra trail runs. Never had a single blister in them. Can’t wait to break out the SG5s in May for the Pennine Barrier 50 mile. Great film. 👌🏼👍🏼

Only just found your channel and it seems a great analysis of all running shoes put out by a brand. I basically use ASICS where I'm running in urban areas, but I do like to run some trails where it is mostly easy terrain paths, but then there is a bit of placement and concrete as well. I would love to have seen a comparison of the Hoka Challenger against the next level down in their road running shoes (because I see it as basically a crossover shoe). I'm sure it must be heavier, but what about the level of grip and the support through the sole? I think you should have had this shoe in both videos because it is so versatile. I love this shoe btw because it does exactly what I need, offers the support I need, as well as being very comfortable. But I always want to know the options out there. I have watched many videos yet on the channel but do you do any cross brand analysis soi could maybe compare the Hoka Challenger against the best ASICS or Nike have to offer (or many of the other brands)? I'd love to see that, as well as the thought of what you are getting for your money. I always look for the best shoe I can get for the money I'd like to spend. I know costs fluctuate, and there are sales in certain ranges, but the standard price would give a guide for someone like me.

Hi Matt! What a comment!! Thank you! Sure, we will do some comparison, when we will finish brand schemes. For now we see that schemes are more relevant for the viewers. Stay tuned!

Hi! Your lineups are awesome. Thank you so much for the great job! Just discovered your channel, loved the Hoka running lineup that helped me pick up 2 models to replace my pretty all-rounder Elevon. I'm looking for a trail shoe as well, not so much to trail but rather to hike fast in the mountains for several days with an 8 kg backpack. Is there a model you think would suit better for that situation? A Hoka shoe or any other brand by the way... Hoka advices me the Torrent, but I don't really get why: the grip seems not as good and the shoe less durable overall than the Speedgoat or the Mafate. Maybe the lesser cushioning more suitable for hiking? (I used to hike with Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra for many years, than with La Sportiva Akyra, which is great but pretty much destroyed after 15 days of hiking) Your advice would be very much appreciated but again, thanks so much whatever! :)

Backpack hike or rather round walk in the mountains?
@rainbowwarrior90182 жыл бұрын
@@RUNFAQ Well somewhere in between I guess: backpack hike technically, on long-distance footpaths, but as I sleep in refuges, I don't carry a lot of stuff, not so much more than I would for a single day: my 18 liters backpack is full but sufficient if this is the underlying question :)

@@RUNFAQ That’s a shame. I have a pair that I use regularly in the mud and slop. Much much better that SGs or Mafates but hugely uncomfortable if the ground is even slightly dry. Speedgoats for trails and Clifton 8 for road with occasional use of Carbon X2. Great vid. 👌🏼👌🏼
