Make lots of tallow or browned butter treats for yourself filled with crispy air fried meat bits, ground beef, bacon, pork belly, chicken skins, salmon skins or Pepperoni & cheese crisps. Having treats around when people are pushing cookies, cakes, so you can enjoy something without cheating.

I loved hearing about all the Christmas traditions. We plan on Midnight Mass, decorating the tree, a nice restful Christmas morning and family games. I might try making an egg white bread and making keto treats for the kids but honestly I'm not really thinking about food. I used to be the cookie queen, but no more. It's much better this way!

My mom was German. Born 1930 in Berlin. WWII bride. Some of my fondest memories are of her making our Christmas plates. They were placed on the coffee table among the Advent candles. They contained 1 apple, 1 orange and lots of nuts. She didn't put the chocolate or other treats on them until Christmas eve. I use to beg her to get the tree down from the attic so we could decorate it but she wouldn't until about a week before. But...we got to open all our presents on Christmas eve. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Best wishes for the new year.

I’m so sorry I missed the Live! I got busy with phone calls. 🙃 We spend Christmas Eve with my brother and his family since I’ve been in CA. (except this year. 😢) Our tradition is oyster stew, started by my mom‘s mom. (Nana) I‘m part of a book club at my church. The leader has written and self published a book! Yay! 🎉🎉❤❤ We are retiring next year, my husband wanted to wait to collect Social Security and I will be full retirement age, so it will be quits for good!

I’ve never made keto scrapple, but I have used a mixture of pork rind crumbs and canned Parmesan to approximate cornmeal for frying fish… I think if the pork and the seasonings are just right, it could work for making scrapple.

I just made a butter roasted nut mix. I have something to munch on while I bake cookies for others. I’m doing sardine fast while I bake so I’m not tempted to taste any. Always Prime rib for Christmas dinner.

I forgot to mention Peanuts Christmas when we were talking about the movies and tv shows we watched every Christmas. A Peanuts Christmas is one of those DVDs sitting by the tv. A co-worker gave me a copy a couple of years ago when she found out Peanuts was a favorite.
