Living in suburbia I grow seasonal peas & beans for food and as a privacy screen from my neighbors. I read somewhere several years ago to leave your peas and bean matter on the fence for bird nesting materials.

Fresh shelling peas right off the plant are one of the best treats of the year. They are like candy raw. And I grew up not even liking peas, haha

Peas do great in our garden. Grow a couple hundred feet of them. Always room for improvement. Thanks for this video.

We space our peas when planting. Never seen such dense planting. Will have to try that this year. It's not to thick?

What is your fertilizing plan with peas? We steer clear of any synthetics. Just top dress compost mostly.

I always thought they wouldn't make well if fertilized

What trellis netting do you use or do you make it

Looks like Hortonova to me, available various sources like Johnnys, Peaceful Valley, etc. Support it well including the top as it’s very stretchy.

Sugar snap peas never make it into my house. They are an awesome garden snack. Our Toy poodle races to the garden and sits by them waiting for us to get there.

I have to put bird netting on my peas, the birds eat the tender new growth quicker than it qrows, its so disappoint, cause the peas grow into the netting
