I noticed that a lot of people are asking what crescent rolls are. It's funny because in the states, they are so popular we just assume everyone has tried them! They were created by the brand Pillsbury and are a cross between a fluffy dinner roll and a croissant. They are not as flaky as a croissant, but they still have that rich, buttery flavor. This version looks identical to the Pillsbury rolls! Thanks, as always, Laura! Btw, you look beautiful and glowing : )

Laura, many years ago as a new bride, I tried to make my mom's recipe of these rolls. They were a disaster, they were like hockey pucks! Now after watching you I think I can try them again (it's only been 40 years ago since my first attempt! You've given me the confidence to try again. Thanks for all your great recipes & instructions. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Excellent Laura! Congradulations on the little Bambino coming! Just wondering if this will work with instant yeast instead of active dry yeast. And what the advantage of active dry yeast has over instant yeast. I guess I could just google that so nevermind.

What is the difference between these and the croissants you made in an earlier video?
@xEternalSlumberx8 жыл бұрын
croissants have a more lengthy process. they use a slab of butter that gets folded into the dough to create those flaky layers. they have more of a puff pastry-like texture while these are softer, more bun-like.
