We make this called Aroz con leche. The way my mom would make it was she would add a cinnamon stick while the rice was cooking. She would then add milk, sweetened condensed milk, and evaporated milk. Sometimes she would add coconut flakes. It was so good.

My grandma does that too, she'll cook it in the largest pot she owns, then put alot of cinnamon sticks. She'll cook that and serve it to me and my cousin warm. She's probably the best cook I personally know.

I didnt know that the same foods are called by different names in different countries.. We call them Bubur Manis (sweet porridge) here in Indonesia Though we didnt use cream or cow milk, we use coconut milk instead. And melted palm sugar syrup for the toppings or you can mix them directly to the porridge.

This was freakin good!!!! Even just alone but i did decide to have additions and adjust ingredients. For the literal 6tbsp, i used ¾ cup of milk, added tsp of coffee, then just cinnamon. I had no nutmeg or vanilla It had a yummy cappuccino flavour, perfectly creamy. It served, I wish i made more- perhaps 10tbsp of that rice!!

We call it rijstepap in Dutch (rice porridge), we pretty much always eat it hot tho and I think that people usually use broken rice/dessert rice (short grain rice) for it. My mom always makes it when someone (or several people) are ill because it's easy on the stomach (we were always allowed to add a lot of sugar when ill as kids). I only had it cold/kind of like pudding when I was in Spain

Usually a 3 to 1 ratio. So 6 Tbsp of uncooked rice will make around 18Tbsp. Which is 1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons of precooked rice. If you use precooked rice skip ahead in the video to adding the milk. I hope that helps?
