That cotter pin is a dirty bastard. I highly recommend heeding the advice in the video and getting angled needle nose. It's bloody impossible any other way. It's why I'm finishing this job tomorrow.

Are you getting any fluid at the bleeder on the slave? I ran into an issue with the lines being clogged and had to take them off the master and blow air through them to get fluid.

I appreciate the video man you would be the only cb7 doing a clutch master cylinder replacement. But it is a bit hard to see exactly what you're doing cuz the camera is not getting in good spots so having a hard time seeing stuff. Damn it mine would go out and i need to do this work. How difficult was it for you to bleed the system? That's one of the things that's making me worry
@aaronphx4203 жыл бұрын
It was not easy and definitely takes time but as long as you keep doing it, you will eventually get it done. It helps if you have a helper to actually pump the clutch pedal or bleed the slave cylinder.

Anyone that wants to make the replacement easier get the CMC for an EM2 Civic, it’s direct fit to the 7th gen accord and it doesn’t have that that big triangle piece like the stock accord one which is also a shift delay so if you get the EM2 one it’ll be an upgrade and easier to install, and even more of a reason to do it the EM2 CMC is cheaper then the accord one, infact the Exedy brand EM2 CMC was $20 cheaper then the Duralast CMC from autozone. Let me know if y’all have any questions I’ll try to help as much I can

I did everything mentioned in the video. But im leaking fluid from the top of the nut where the line goes to the master cylinder. I pulled the line out to check the flare and threads on the nut, theres no cracks or crossthreads. Does anybody know what it could be?
@aaronphx4205 жыл бұрын
Kw Skater might want to try some liquid thread sealant or just regular old Teflon tape as a fix
@kwskater2235 жыл бұрын
@@aaronphx420 i thought that at first but it wasnt leaking from the threads, it was leaking from the top of the nut where the line goes through. I ended up buying an O-ring from oriellys and putting it on between the flare and the nut. It worked but i need to bleed the clutch some more.

Enrique Meza a hot minute. Probably if I were to guess I would say about 15 minutes or so. It’s a 2 person job but If you buy a hand vacuum pump at harbor freight or something and put a vacuum on the bleeder on the slave cylinder it probably wouldn’t have taken quite as long but I didn’t have one. But I should invest in one.

Either your slave cylinder is bad or there is a leak in the hydraulic hose, no dot 3 fluid in the reservoir or you clutch is bad or the synchros in your tranny is bad, I would fill the reservoir with dot3 fluid first and go from there

JaH RaH you really don’t need too. You can use a vacuum bleeder, or bleed it the old fashioned way which is what we did here, after the install.
@joncrall46283 жыл бұрын
If anyone is about to do this job. A tip would be to have someone weld a nut (the same size and thread as the master cylinder mounting nuts) To one side of the master cylinder fork. (The Part that the pin goes through) And now you can use a hex head bolt to connect the master cylinder to the pedal. Eliminates that pin nonsense
