This little CBR-based beauty had tough competition back in the day, such as Suzuki's GSR 600 and Kawi's Z750, but after over 10 years, this is hands down the naked bike that I would buy, specifically in this color scheme. Thanks a ton for the vid!

This bike has an infamous reputation here at Brazil.The vast majority of motorcyclists ride 125ccs.Couple inexperience with roads as "good" as China's and you've got the number one newbie slayer.

Just bought an 09 Kawasaki 650R (ER-6F in Europe), and I love it. But, the Hornet was the first bike I saw that really caught my attention. It's a shame Honda didn't market these more in the US. I guess they figured people would want the more robust, "sporty" CBR? It is one of their best-selling motorbikes, afterall.

well i love the cbr and am considering buying a cbr 600 but this bike is just amazing. and the kawasaki 650r is a pretty sweet bike by the way, lucky guy.

Yeah I've got an older hornet (599 actually as I am in Canada) too, I agree I like my dials and front light better too, and the new pipe is cool, but hey don't forget they added 10 HP!

I had an accident on my Hornet 600, 1999... I'm thinking of buying the 2007 of the same Hornet, has that streetfighter look to it.

They do have this bike at the states maybe not the identical look or color but its called a 599. They have an 06 at my local dealer right now and two on the craigslist. Just a lil brother to the 919 which i own.

Possibly because they are the newbies favourite entry level bike? In the UK GXSR's and R1's are the bikes most often responsible for deaths and serious injuries.

Hey Simon, thanks for replying! I believe you are talking about the latest bike, which is said to be a tad buzzy, unlike other, say, more dedicated roadsters like the 2007-2008 Kawi Z750 (a big favorite in Spain, Germany, and Italy...) Ever ridden that bike? (I know you clearly said "LITERBIKE" ;), but as far as I'm concerned even literbikes like the CBF1000 can be sort of buzzy. Thanks in advance, cheers.

@ilyas64 I haven't tried the Kawa, but I have one of these(2007 model, with ABS). It's my first bike. and I'm very happy with it. Light, easy to ride, and powerful enough so it's fun to drive.

Hi. Congrats on your bike! How does your Hornet handle a passenger? Could it effectively deal with a 120lb, 5'6" frame out back for, say, 3 or 4 hours in a row? Also, are power and handling affected when riding two up? I have heard great things about the Street Triple, but I don't think it's got the right passenger ergos...

I bought one in 2020 and it's a magnificent bike! Urban riding... motorways are ok, but stop and go is not really pleasant... but that's the case with any bike! Super light and rides like a bike! Look for the ABS version!

does any one now how to extend the mirrors as i find it very difficult to see. in order for me to see in the mirrors i have to tuck my arms well in to see, very annoying. love the bike, shame about the flaw in the mirros.

I'm not so sure I'm a fan of these "blocky" headlights that many manufacturers are implementing on their naked bike designs these days. Suzuki, Ducati, Honda -- they all went from a round-style headlight, which just screams "classic-design", to a more "futuristic" design that we see in this modern day.

Your very wrong, the Hornet is much more agile, lighter and is better in turns. I preffer the Z750 and will be getting one this spring. All i am saying that the Hornet has clear advantages over the Z750, not much the other way, exept the Z750 has more power.
