Thanks very much for this. I really enjoy the rescue/resurrection/rustoration videos. While the full restoration vids have their place, I truly enjoy most those that just rescue and restore functionality to these old machines. Thank you for following along and watching. I also can appreciate the nicely restored bikes, but at the end of the day, these are minibikes and are meant to be ridden. I’m hoping whoever ends up with this bike has someone in their life that will ride it.

Rather see more videos getting it cleaned up and looking nice. With the prices these days you likely won't lose money putting some new parts if you plan to sell it.

That’s what makes me different from everyone else that messes with these bikes……..nothing I do revolves around current or future value. I started collecting these bikes 30 years ago, when they had no value and no one cared about them. Most of my videos are designed to show that you can enjoy these bikes without dumping huge amounts of cash into them.

Sure. If you saw the video on the hardtail Z50, with the flame paint, it had a 72cc top end installed on the stock z50 bottom end.

You mentioned that you have a bucket of old carbs. Do you still have the original from your S65? It has ports that oil lines run thru. Mine was trash and the last one I tried to buy ended up being a scam! Lol

I failed Ignition Points 101 over and over. I passed after market Electronic Ignition Module (on the second try).

working on a z50 i have had to clean the points a couple times in past week i lose spark. waiting for a flywheel puller so i can get in and clean everything better. Been a hell of time with the carb and realized its a aftermarket carb looks like its for a 100/125 air mix needs to be out just under 1 full turn vs 1.5 turns otherwise it bogs.
