I want that mixer! Orange is my favorite color. And, the mixer is the same color of my new 1973 BMW 2002 tii that I bought back in 1973. The best car I have every driven.

Hi there. I used to make bread quite a bit, especially rustic yeast versions. However, in 2018 I learned that I have Crohn's disease. That means I must be gluten/dairy/yeast free. What fun, eh? I can make flatbreads like potato tortillas, but I really miss risen bread. Soooo, if you ever happen to come across any bread recipes that accommodate all that fun, please feel free to share them. Meanwhile, I love watching these regular bread making videos, so thank you. Cheers, Ardith

I made this recipe and it came out perfect!!!!! I was out of honey so I used about 1/8 cup of sugar. I am diabetic so I can't have too much sugar. It is delicious. I will freeze one loaf and devour the other one 🙂 Thank you so much.

This bread is so pretty. I have made bread several times and mine never turn out right. But I will never give up, I will keep trying until I get it right. Thank you for sharing this video with us and I am looking forward to your next bread video. Have a blessed week.

Lovely bread!! The homejoys blog has a lot of wonderful sourdough and yeast bread recipes. My tried and true mostly come from her blog.

Thanks for this great video! Your loaves are beautiful. I make both sourdough and yeast breads too and I have to admit I like making the yeast bread best. My sourdough never rises the same as the yeast bread. I also love the texture of the yeast bread, even though I do like the healthy benefits of sourdough.

Apparently you and many others wanted me to slice it. Haha. Sorry about that. I did in the last video of the 2nd week of the pantry challenge.

@@TheHappyHomestead That looked like a different bread. I had trouble with wholes in the middle of my yeast bread. That was why I wanted to see yours.

💗💗 my store has been out of whole wheat flour for months. Last night I found 2 bags on clearance! I had been adding crushed up bran flakes cereal and it was ok, but not the same.

Thank you for sharing this challenge. Love it. I'd really like to do morechomemade products. Sandwich bread is definitely on the list. Question, do you think the holder for slicing bread is worth getting? I've seen some at thrift stores sometimes. Thank you so much for your patient way you explain and encourage. Take care.

I have one of those bread slicers and I don’t use it as much as I thought I would. I feel that it slices the bread pretty thick. But if you’ve seen it at a thrift store, it’s worth a try for a smaller investment.

Looks delicious! do you use a bread slicer(where you put the loaf in an there are slots to cut) or just use a bread knife which is what I do.
@judygillespie3242 Жыл бұрын
I have had a slicer for years. I am just getting back into making bread again ( well maybe next week) The slices come out uniform. I like it.
@TheHappyHomestead Жыл бұрын
I usually just slice free form. But I do have a bread slicer. I find it makes thick pieces which may be ok, depending on what they’ll be used for.

I used instant yeast also, but I don't remember the brand. Did you add all of the ingredients in the recipe? Maybe it needed more liquid? I'm not sure why it was so stiff.

Yep, seeing a lot of comments like this. It was warm, and I don't like to slice the bread until it's perfectly cooled. Not sure why I didn't, but I'm sure it had to do with just busy life. :)
